the boss i think filmna is a little confused, i think he meant to say he is agnositic, although he did say something created us, but not sure so maybe he is aetheist or maybe he just doesnt know himself ;) - perhaps a little confused. :)
I'm far from a sit on the fence agnostic. Atheist through and through. I see each and every religion or cult as being equally ridiculous. Christianity is every bit as laughable in my eyes as Scientology.
It was poor reporting - the guy should lose his job for the outburst. If any of us shouted like that in our job we would be fired.

Idiocy of faith or people though? :(
I think by attacking faith you must be attacking mankind...
True. But then, what people are taught as children is very difficult to get them to deny later - admitting you and the people who raised you were wrong isnt easy -and at the risk of automatically losing any burgeoning debate, the rise of fascism was greatly aided by germans not wishing to believe they were wrong about world war 1.
I didn't know that place on Abbey Street that was askng me did I want to do a "personality test" all the time was a scientology place...
They switched to a stress test a year or 2 ago. Well thats what they offered me. After watching that Panorama clip its the scientologist that needs de-stressing.

I suppose all you can say in the Reporters defence is that he may have lost the plot, but he kept his sanity, as he said himself.
I can remember journalist Liam Fay, while at Hotpress, wrote an article on the amount of Cults located in Dublin. This was back in the early 90's and even then there were loads of them.
