Teams get into the first round (Senior teams entering at the second round) by reaching certain stages of either the FAI Intermediate of FAI Junior cup competitions. I think it's last 16 of the Intermediate and last 4 of the Junior.

Is yer man Bosco still going ?

Didn't seem up to much to me, to be honest. Always appeared to have someone else's arm stuck up his arse...

Indeed, but his use of Magic Door technology to move around the pitch gives him a considerable advantage.

Could be a bit one-sided. Dougie's going to be fairly knackered after the Six Nations and the Magners League.

If Salthill Devon get any EL team at home in the next round the game will have to be in Terryland Park which will cause a headache for both UTD and the Galway FA if GUFC are drawn at home aswell.

Then again we could get each other...

That will happen but the pitch is taking a hammering these days as all the underage League finals are been played in Terryland, aswell as the Galway District League team.

Good game, Tolka have a very solid team. Keith Maher has developed into a fine player. Could form an interesting parternship with Ger McCarthy (on as a late sub today.)

Imagine the crowd in Terryland for Salthill devon v Galway United match it would be huge.

Pretty pathetic that the FAI website has not bothered too post the results yet. Goes to show how professional Mr Delaney has made the set up. No results on AERTEL either. I was at the Tolka Rovers game today, good crowd. PIty the FAI don't take this round as seriously as the clubs.

Imagine the crowd in Terryland for Salthill devon v Galway United match it would be huge.

former GUFC and SRFC player Ryan O'Donnell scored a cracker of a goal to win the match for Salthill Devon also. A cross came in from the far left and Ryan caught it on the volley from the corner of the box to drill it straight in to the bottom left corner of the goals.

Have to say though that Avondale were robbed as they must have had 80% of the possession, they just hadnt a clue what to do with it in the final third.

Awww no. Was talkin to Drogheda Town (and ex Mons) goalie Sammy Colgan last week & was hoping that they would do the biz. Hard luck Sammy!

Disagree with you Terry that they were robbed. 2nd half was very scrappy, but any decent passing football was being played by Salthill. With a strong breeze behind them, Avondale did very little except punt long balls. If they don't know what to do with possession they don't deserve anything.

Also Kildrum Tigers 1 Malahide United 2

Interesting to see that 2 of 2 Junior clubs have qualified (other 2 results still unknown!)

Is there really any difference in standard between Junior and Intermediate?
