Wrong again Mr. Quinn. Why do people think I'm John Flanagan. Was telling him about this. He does'nt even use the net!! Get your facts right before you name names. Or better still ask John and see what answer you get!!:D

prior to what you think i have no bother with you using my name. You see there are a certain minority on here who its well known in football circles who they are. The difference being we dont hide behind a name. Whats the point!!Then the Majority of smart asses come on here Slagging and whinging but are too afraid to be Counted. Blessed are the unmasked, for they shall inherit the Forums ;)

yea thursday nights games can be hard to call cos some teams do be missing players depending on work and distances to travel to away games.

in Div 2A hard to see how Erris will lose games, think Clew Bay are the only team to take points off them in a drawn game

A Celtic Player turned up at our game with 20 minutes to go, Dykes took him off just after half time at 5-1 up, gave a few players a run, i'd say it was more comfortable than 5-3

clew bay went 3-0 up, Ballina got penalty just before half time, all Ballina at start of 2nd half poor marking and defending by Clew Bay led to 4 more Ballina goals to go 5-3 up. two were obvious off sides. all Clew Bay for last 20minutes and got back to 5-5 with five minutes left. Clew Bay had 3 one on one chances to win the game but didnt take them. Draw prob a fair result, Clew Bay will be disappointed with performace though. Referee was awful, seemed to be intimidated by home side

Thats what this site should be used for, reports on games, rather than predictions and stupid bitching.

Poor standard of football. We were **** poor altogether, missing 5 first teamers but that aside we were s**t. Snugboro were pretty bad in the first half but went 1 up Ballyvary got level before half time. Snugboro made a couple of substitutions in the second half that paid dividends and were the better side in the second half. Looks like Town benefitted most from last night's results.

standard of football in Ballina last night was poor aswell. think mid week games are tough as lads are working all day and also the trip to away games can be tiring. does anyone know did valley give Erris a game of it?

1 Erris United 9 8 1 0 38 9 29 25
2 Castlebar Town 9 6 1 2 18 14 4 19
3 Clew Bay United 9 4 2 3 20 16 4 14
4 Ballyvary Blue B'ers 9 4 0 5 20 17 3 12
5 Valley Rovers 9 3 2 4 12 16 -4 11
6 Snugboro United B 9 3 1 5 12 19 -7 10
7 Ballina United 9 1 4 4 16 28 -12 7
8 Straide & Foxford B 9 0 3 6 5 22 -17 3

Latest table..still fairly tight with everyone down to Snugboro still in with a chance. Erris have a firm grip on top spot and Cbar Town have slight advantage at the mo in second. Still with games to come against the teams below them anthing can happen!!

Clew Bay had a convincing win over S & F 4-0, dont think S & F had any chance on goal, Clew Bay should have scored more. Referee was very fussy, pulled on every little thing by both teams and didnt let the game flow at all. any reports on any other games?

Player sent off for 2 yellow cards-minimum 1 match suspension.
A player who receives 4 cautions will receive an automatic 1 match suspension plus €30 fine.
If the same player receives 2 more cautions-automatic 1 match suspension plus €30 fine.

Bloody hell (scratches head) where oh where might I start. First might I make a recommendation. Take a few months away from the site and come back and read 10 pages in one sitting. Its great fun altogether. I take it everyone is alive and well and there haven't been any physical slayings to match the keyboard slayings I've just read. Still it was very entertaining stuff. Always good to see the usual Mayo Football love in on foot.ie.

Some great reading altogether. I see I have been joined on the site by a second representative of Ballyvary Blue Bombers. He does stand out for most sense made of course. Oh and Swinford f.c of course. And then there is the legendary Irishyop, ever stirring Irishyop eh. :D

Anyhow its good to be back. I think i need a lie down after reading all that.

Hope you're not being serious there MT!! I don't think Town could afford to lose too many to suspensions. Is there a few of ye close? I hear ye had a tough game against Erris. Weekends results have tightened things up again in Div2a. Big game up next against Clew Bay.

All I heard was that it was a very tough game. Town took an early lead through Paul Maye only for Erris to peg one back.

few very close, if not already their!! but iam sure other teams will have the same problems.
erris was a tough game, but still shud have won it, gave them a soft goal. maye scored a cracker, good team performance first half, erris finished stong near the end, hate to say it but a draw was a far result.

Would any clubs be in Favour of joining the two divisions together and just paying everyone twice. It would be mean more games and alot more midweek games. I dont think its fair to just choose the differnt sections as i believe 2B is a far easier than 2a this season with no offence to anyone. Id be in favour of a fairer league and more footy!!! Just a feeler. No harm in a debate on it. Anyone have any opinion

i dont know about joining the two leagues. problems with mid week games is its sometimes hard to have the full squad together because of work and college. also i know teams have struggle when they play on thursday night and again on saturday evening, 2 games in 3 days is alot. any ideas on how this weekend games will go?
