I would like to see more of Paddy Mulligan doing it as he is the " Eamon Dunphy" of the Eircom league, top notch anayslist.
more like the jim bowen of the eircom league!! he sez the word smashing at least 10 times every week "smashing pass.....smashing player......smashing goal". he's good apart from that though.

Don't know about that, some of the footage from the RSC last year looked like it was taken by some bloke with a camcorder at the back of the stand.

Hey, now, steady on lad. That's a cheap shot!
Anyway, he's getting really good on that camcorder now and can zoom in and out and everything. :D

Should be able to use Windows Movie Maker to compress it - Save to My computer and pick the option to fit to a certain file size.

:D If clubs dont send in the footage just because they lost no wonder the league has so many knockers.
Whats the story with the footage from Galway????

No idea, all games at Terryland are recorded edited and sent to TV3. Sometimes last season they just decided not to show games that were recorded. It's a bit annoying when you wait to see a game but they choose to torture you with Keely and Osam instead.

Dissapointed with last nights programme. I thought it would have been much better than last seasons but its still very amateur. And it was a joke the fact they showed dundalks 3 goals and din't show harps' goals. Far too amateur. How much of a bother would it be to show two goals more? Not alot i'd say but as someone said before its better than nothing!!
Galways Game against sligo had the biggest attendance and was filmed but it isnt the first time TV3 didnt bother showing action from Terryland.

Surprised they didnt show the galway game in their first game up in fairness!! Its Dublin bias its the only explanation. I was waiting for shelbourne to feature surprised they didnt feature. Theyl make their appearance more than many in the premier this season mark my words!

I agree. What is the point of clubs bothering to send in footage if they don't even show the goals! They show highlights of two 0-0 borefests and don't show all the goals in a 3-2 thriller...

Galway's first game up, Sligo in mid-"crisis", surprise result (best of the first round), two excellent goals . . . there should be enough reasons to show it. Are you sure you sent in the right tape, and Trevor & co didn't end up watching someone's wedding do in the Radisson?
It'd be really weird if they didn't show it after being provided with an edited tape, but then only showing three of five goals in another game was weird.
Even if they've a good reason for not showing the Terryland game (e.g. Keely ate the tape), the Dundalk one shows that there's something wrong. Some of the "highlights" they showed from other games didn't merit inclusion, and the panel looked at times like they were struggling to pad out their slot (repeated questions, repeated answers), so time shouldn't have been a consideration.

No disrespect but you're in the first division. No lower league stuff is on any highlights programme of any league in the world. Plus your ground llokks **** and the football is appaling. We need to promote the league

Last season there was a camera the both times we played each other at Terryland. Yet they were never shown on TV3 but they did show Galway v Monaghan:eek:
Garbage show. Only showed 3 premier games out of 6 in this day and age is a farce. Said it before but until we have a decent highlights package at a reasonable hour it will always remain hard to attract new fans.
Osam, while obviously knowing his stuff, is incredibly inarticulate while Keely could be the surprise package in that he is unpredictable. At least the music has improved.
Were there cameras in Waterford and Longford?

Hardly the point. They saw fit to show three of the goals - why not the other two?
How many weeks before Keely says fulltime football or/and summer football don't work?

Spot on that. We need the thing tarted up and TV3 isn't the place to do it. Its painful viewing.

6 premier league games a a week played over 3 days the majority of them in Dublin surely RTE could cover these easy enough as they would have more resources than TV3 and are a public service broadcaster or have they spent all their budget on the premiership highlights.

sligo rovers have no manager, were in the papers every day all week and on the news in the build up to the game, galway had their first games in the premier league for years...a connaght derby and the biggest attendance of the weekend was it...and a very god game at that but they show a s**t 0-0 between boring old UCD and shamrock rovers!

Guys,
I watched the show last night and it was seriously cringeworthy.
unless I am mistaken they did not even bother to do a rundown of the results.
If the FAI are serious (I know thats a joke) about promoting the league then the sort of tripe that tv3 has produced needs to be stopped there is no way that the FAI could possibly be happy with the coverage that the show gave.
Surely with RTE showing live games they would be much better placed to be doing a highlights show resource, talent and competance wise.
I really liked the suggestion of someone to do an online show but not sure how easy or practical that would be but certainly could not be any worse than tv3's effort.
And I'm sorry but there is no way Dermot Keely should be allowed in front of a tv camera / microphone agian in his life.
Just my 2cent....

Get mailing TV3 at the very least and tell them what a shower of useless w@nkers they are. They got enough stick after the San Marino game, hopefully they'll just give up on coverage altogether and Setanta or RTE will step in to fill the breach.
