Shels' friendlies fro shelsweb:

The Waterford Selection games is in AUL at 3pm on Saturday

and

The Kildare League game is in AUL on Sunday at 11am.

If anyone is remotely interested in taking these games in just keep an eye out on Shelsweb:

Wouldn't imagine that there will be much of a charge, if any.

Just a warning about the AUL, if it rains much between now and Saturday/ Sunday, there will be a pitch inspection to see if the games will go ahead.

We have been promised that we will be alerted to the decision, so before you head out, check the News Items on the 'Home Page' of this site.

Flood is a very good signing. Personally I thought he should have got more of a run-out for us last season but Scully hasn't been wrong yet.

Is Connor Sinnott looking like a player??

What about Dave Miller??

I couldn't go tonight because I had to work, but Conor played good enough against Bray. Millar wasn't playing last night so I reckon he was involved at some stage tonight.

Millar looked really promising when he was with us, good player

Connor on the other hand was really frustrating. You can tell he'd be handy if he bothered his arse. Maybe he'll try a bit harder with his hometown club so to speak :ball:

Yeah I played schoolboys with Millar until he went to Limerick, he's a player alright. Only thing I can see going against him is his size. He's very small, but he's after getting stronger. Conor can be frustrating alright, don't think his attitude has changed too much [I]yet[I] to be honest, but I've only seen him play once! I reckon he'll be in the starting eleven come next Friday anyway.

Edit: Thunder, would you ever stop with your cursing and your "scum" of Wexford rubbish! Yes, he played for North End. So did Stewart Lawlor, another panel member. So do 8 of Wallace's current U-18's, of which 7 usually start.....

Think you'll find a lot of the coaching is being done by a combination of Dolan and Noel O'Connor

Hmm, now I seem to remember them trying their hand (with an infinitely superior squad) somewhere last season and failing miserably ;)

Wexford looked ok last night against waterford. They look a bit light and very young. The one thing i will say is that they were putting in alot of rough tackles and were getting away lightly off the ref because it was a "friendly".

Once he showed the first yellow they calmed down a bit. It could just have been a lack of sharpness or match fitness but it really looked like somebody was gonna be broken up before it would be stopped.

I think they will give alot of teams a tough game and cant see them being whipping boys of the league. They have a very small team and struggle alot also with free's and corners.
