lads why are ye even in the eL section - are ye not reclassified in the intermetiate or junior section yet. have they removed the limerick crests from the eL avatar section???
ZING!!
I actually feel a little :o on your behalf
(BTW If you like I can put up a list of all the Threads I've posted in today. Some of them (GASP) have nothing to do with Galway  )

try feeling :o for yourself as you will see that neither you or GUFC is mentioned in the original point!!
96. that limerick fc fans, having no eL club to support themselves, would be reduced to visiting foot.ie to try and poke fun at existing eL clubs.
i believe that you are trying to include yourself as a point of reference in the post when it was a general point about LFC supporters who make snide / derogitory (sp?) comments about clubs such as Shels, SRFC and yes GUFC among others while their own club / situation should be of far greater concern to them.

I was referring to post number 102 in the thread, just making sure you didn't rope me in with that awful group who are telling your club a few home truths about the manner of your promotion
Post Number 81 would be an excellent reference point for you aswell ;)
Still feel a little :o for you after that "hilarious" gag earlier and indeed your continual lauding of the glorius off the field promotion

post 102 was in responce to your post 101 where you felt you had upset precious GUFC supporters - i informed you that you hadn't upset me. it was a subsequent point to my original and in responce to yours.
as regards the 'glorious promotion' you speak of... surprising would be a more accurate description of my own personal response and don't think i have described it as glorious (however if i am open to correction).

Now, now, your clearly thinking far too hard, your beginning to confuse me with jebus ;)
I refer you once again to post number 81. After you read it I suggest you take a rest

Stating that Galway didn't win promotion on the pitch isn't poking fun, just stating facts, can I help it if Conor and the rest get their noses put out of joint by this? ;)
Facts?:D
FACT-We weren't promoted. We were invited to participate in the new FAI league.A seperate entity to the EL of 2006.

I'm with A face on this one
Lads - please don't descend this thread into the realms of nonsense, sniping at other clubs, mud slinging and downright wrongness.
I'm due out to watch my local club play a League game here in England and for a few beers in the next ten minutes (first time I've managed to get away to watch them play this season) - don't want to have to come back to wade through realms of some of the stuff we've had already posted regarding other clubs (some of it complete nonsense that would normally garner reactions of incredulity).
If I do come back to stuff like that - I'll close this thread immediately and report relevant posts (as has been done with some already here)
May seem a bit harsh from my part - but I do get a bit fed up reading the same old nonsense over and over and over and over again that really adds not much to the debate...

J.Byrne's presence in Merrion Square, and his political affiliations, were instrumental in the shooting down of the Eircom Park project. Don't tell me he is not influential in there.
P.S. Mods maybe we should close this thread down. If people have more suggestions they could start another thread entitled
.... another 100 things we didn't know about the Eircom League at the start of 2006 :D

Dress it up whatever way you want Conor but Galway United still shouldn't be there as they didn't qualify on sporting merit, if you agree that football still has some lingering basis as something other than a business than you can't deny that
As for galwayhoop, well I think you've talked yourself into enough of a mess so there's no need for me to highlight any other point other than, I may not have upset you personal, but I upset enough Galway fans to get myself banned from the Galway forum, so how you're accusing me of getting my jollies by attacking Galway on the Galway forum I'll never know

haven't talked myself into any mess - however certain personalities on this forum feel that when a comment is made (and not directed specifically at any individual) that it is about them - sad, these people must not get any attention in other places ............

galwayhoop,
I hope you had a nice rest
I'm not going to get drawn in to a petty argument with you. Your barely the same species as me and quite frankly it feels like I'm being cruel and kicking a dog around the place or something
The nimbys already got me booted off the Galway forum for making them cry. I'll be damned if I'm booted off of this one.
I leave you with a quotation by yourself which kind of says it all about you

And a quote by stu that says it all about your fans

87. That Galway fans still wouldn't get it.
It was never anything personal with Galway eventhough your fans general attitude has been disgusting and goes against all sporting principles. Myself, jebus, stu et al would have reacted the exact same regardless of what club was involved. But you people really don't get it do you??

2-2 and still unbeaten in 13 League and Cup games suggests non-****eness
And ex-Bohs "Legend" Tony Hopper was playing for the opposition last night :D

you're right y'know
And as I did say - thanks to jebus, Galway Hoop, and a couple of other randoms dragging this off topic into a bitchfest about other clubs - this thread is closed.
Now to start picking through the individual posts as promised...
