a)how did he manage to get that close to stormont?
b)how did he manage to get that close to stormont, with a suspect package?
Crazy situation. Will he be detained for the same length of time as 'suspected al queda terrorists' - probably not.
He should be charged with:
a) disturbing the peace
b) terrorism
c) insighting hatred
d) insighting violence
e) anti-social behaviour
f) resisting arrest

A man, believed to be Michael Stone, the notorious loyalist piece of scum is said to have walked in to Stormont before 11am and threw a bag to security, saying it contained a bomb. What a piece of filth.

What a fuppin' nutjob how is that man still breathing never mind able to carry off something like this. when will he and his ilk realise that those day's are gone and it's time to move on to a real and lasting peace
Fairly insignificant news. As long as his kind in the vast minority then things can continue.

Absence of police points to collusion with the security forces.
Have Sinn Fein issued this statement yet.
Stones a nutter as anyone who's read his book will agree.
However it looks like his actions have actually influenced the Rev. Ian Paisley to overturn his morning position to the assembly and agree to implement the St. Andrews agreement. Thus shaftinG the singing pastor Willie McCrea and Gregory Campbell and the rest of the ultra bigots.

Stone charged with attempted murder of Adams and McGuinness (http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/?jp=CWIDGBOJGBEY)
Maybe it's just me, but possessing a gun and explosives you can kinda understand in the context of the North, whereas having a garotte is real Twilight Zone stuff.

I especially liked 'Ulsterhistorys' scrolling 'No Surrender' graphic tastefully done in the largest font he could find and superimposed on a his casting a glad eye across the north channel from the Giants Causeway.
Has anyone thought to inform the security forces that Loyalists now have unfettered access to Windows Moviemaker?

Eh...you missed Attemped Murder!!! ;) He should also have his previous sentence reinstated.
Previously quoted "My War Is Over" !
Now it's "Sinn Fein are criminals and shouldn't be allowed in Government...so get out of the way, I'm goin' te blow their criminal ar$es to Kingdom come....long live democracy!!....what are ye stoppin me for? that's not supposed te happen, have ye not been told?"
Not surprising given the political rhetoric coming out of DUP "leadership" for years that their support would think that this attitude is acceptable.
PS CORRECT YOU TUBE LINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDTS1-I5IZc the other link posted was to his previous pscyho killing of mourners in Milltown.
Eh...you missed Attemped Murder!!! ;) ...He might also ask m'lord to take into consideration a charge of GBH - Greviously Bad Hairstyle - following his release from the Maze.

Christ almighty, I never actually saw footage of his funeral attack. Was that sanctioned by any group or did he just get a rush of blood to the head?Actually it wasn't sanctioned by the UDA or the UVF. If my memory serves me well, Stone went to the UDA beforehand with some suggestions and they told him: 'Michael. We don't need nutcases like you in our organisation.' It was only after the murder of John McMichael, and the subsequent demand by ****edmepants to Uncle Andy to get out of my office, that Stone was finally admitted into the UDA.

lopez not fully correct, he got through an RUC "checkpoint" into the road that led directly into the graveyard. he was caught and brought into a car with 4 IRA members ( ready for what you can imagine ) when that car was stopped by the RUC, and he was arrested......

Ahh yes! The RUC patrol car that just happened to be passing. Then again there seemed to be no back up from the British Army days later, and there are persistent suggestions (e.g. in Michael Dillon's 'Trigger Men' I've been told) to suggest that they didn't just get lost.
I didn't know he was going to be 'taken for a bath' but if the fuzz hadn't turned up it's fair to say there would have been crimes against hairstyling, let alone last week's hissy fit. I do remember a rumour that he got through the checkpoint (RUC and/or the funeral stewards) by saying 'Tiochfaid ar lá.'

hmmmm no matter how mad someone is, and i honestly beleive this, they are not going to run into an area with a group of 10,000 people with a very limited supply of ammunition ( or what not ) without some sort of backup plan......or mores the point a clear and safe exit......

Hopefully Mr Stone will spend the rest of his days in jail.
A nutter, whose boiler has burst.
Seems that the fact that he failed in his mission to take out Adams and Maginess at Milltown has eaten away at him for a long time.
Coupled with the fact that he suffers from paranoia that "somebody is out to get him", it's fair to say that his mental health would not be good.
A amateurish attempt by Stone to attack democracy - hopefully we'll not be troubled by him again.

Christ almighty, I never actually saw footage of his funeral attack.
In fairness, it's not the most shocking act of violence there at the time. The beating and execution of the British soldiers by the mob at the subsequent funeral, was more graphic.
paul_oshea
28/11/2006, 10:02 AM
ya i remember that, they took a "wrong turn" into the funeral, and the car was mobbed by people.......over turned, dragged out and.....well. the worst part of that was there was footage from a birds-eye view on that and nothing was done to stop it on time.
http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/?jp=CWIDGBSNMHAU
interesting.
The British Soldiers who "took a wrong turn" !!, (you would have to be totally naive to believe that they were not spying on the mourners and whoever sent them in there should be questioned) were armed and on duty, one pulled a gun.
Surely the slaughter of unarmed innocent mourners in their own country is more horrific, than the execution of two armed occupying soldiers despite the undignified manner in whichit was perpetrated and the fact that the media chose to publish these pictures. You will seldom see close up pictures published of Republicans being slaughtered. Just like the sanitised version of the Iraqii conflict. (if you want reality, have a look at Al-Jazeera) :

Once you start to suggest one murder worse than another there is no end.
Whatever side you are the sight of a mop killing 2 people for a parocial sectarian excuse was disgusting.

fuuny always to see the loyalists pumping the muscles and working out, while the Ra were getting an education.................says it all really. I saw old p*ssedmepants the other day on C5 and was trying to find out when the biog was on. Shame I missed it as I could have done with a laugh. However, my sides are still aching from the musclebound bedwetter's comments in the observer on Sunday. I'd sit down for this one. 'Speaking from exile in Scotland, Adair said: ''This man [Stone] is criminally and politically insane. He should be sectioned...''' :D  :D
As for the loyalists 'library', didn't Mo Mowlam comment on why the Republican wing was well stocked in Irish history while the Loyalists only had a couple of books on bodybuilding to peruse?

I think Belfast home made porn was referred to - not Shankill home made porn.
When the boys in the "other" compounds had put down their University books for the evening, word is they liked a wee look at Razzle and the odd video from time to time too.;)
In fact, the availability of porn is rife in every jail in the UK and Ireland.
Not sure about Stone, but it is a matter of public record that wingnut Adair had many female "admirers" from within the nationalist community who liked to help him with "pumping his muscles".
Also interesting to hear Adair admit that if he had been born across the tracks into the nationalist/republican community, he would probably have joined the IRA.
That for me, "says it all really".

Eh no it doesnt, it just goes to show that he is a thug with two brain cells to rub together, just about by the sounds of it. how does he know he would have joined the IRA?!?! for a start whose to say they would take a nutjob like him?!?!?!?!

Not maybe when that poster is of said religion ( or a chance of it ;) ) and in the context of a very sensitive issue being discussed. also i dont see how saying something is spelt in the protestant way is humourous? I might use it myself but it would be in a more annoyed/frustrated way if someone had deliberately spelt it that way because of their religion etc.
what does bother me though, is these guys do vote, and they dont all vote for the PUP either....how come that is never brought into it? A friend of mine over here who is a staunch supporter of paisley, told me how when his sister was getting married a load of guys they knew to be associated with certain factions within the UVF appeared at the wedding afters. He was none too impressed and asked them to leave, but these same people were friends of his friends, and im pretty sure the same politician was elected in that constituency....

Erm...that was exactly my point, although I think Adair is a lot cuter than many would believe.
Regarding the IRA letting him in, they let equally as bad "nutjobs" in.
It does raise an interesting broader issue that I have often wondered about - if many of the extremists on both sides had of been born on the "other" side, would they have been as equally vociferous in the "cause" of that side?
I believe they would have.
I also believe a bad ******* is a bad ******* - regardless of where or what he was born.

would it matter to you whether that fella was a bit bling or if he could appear
