Monkey magic

It's on MW RTE Radio 1. Not sure if there is a live feed.
You could try one of the Cork Local Radio stations.
www.google.ie Key in Cork Radio stations I think Red FM is one of them.
You may get a live feed that way. Another way is to key www.livescore.com
it's a bit like watching Aertel but more accurate.

philly

It's 0-0 and Cork were on top early on. Conceded a stupid free in the past few minutes but it was not a real threat. Apollon seem to be more in the game since then.

look to be a good crowd there?

CollegeTillIDie
12/07/2006, 7:11 PM
Yes there is a good crowd but there is a huge gap on the side opposite the main stand... probably to separate the visiting fans from the home support.
Apollon are looking stronger has the half wears on . Having said that Cork have just been on the attack.

Looks pretty full, apart from the obligatory gap between the 100 odd Limassol fans and the home support on the Derrynane side; no one on top, but you'd back Apollon to score on the beak

seems to be a good crowd but cork are dire and the cypriots are getting closer and closer.

route one garbage from the corkies. 3 men and a drum seems to be the only atmosphere

Cork playing very poor alright. Cypriots looking most likely to score. One minute of stoppage time been played til half time.

Gareth

Bloody brutal. Both teams are appalling. I hope the standard picks up. Cork have nothing to offer in that half and Limmisol as bad as they seem cant help but make a chance or two. I want that 45 minutes back!!

CollegeTillIDie

Second half has started and Cork are looking a bit more positive since the break.

Murphy just had a good shot on goal. Keeper hit it away for a corner. Nothing really created from the corner.

CollegeTillIDie
12/07/2006, 7:38 PM
Danny Murphy just forced the keeper to concede a corner for Cork City.
50 minutes. Fenn's corner kick headed back in by O'Brien but an Apollon defender shepherded it out for a goal-kick despite the best efforts of Behan.

cypriates look very ordinary. not surprised cork scored. Should kick on and score one or two more to seal the tie. Is that a Munster rugby corner flag?

CollegeTillIDie
12/07/2006, 7:53 PM
According to Ger Canning, the German coach of Apollon speaks English to most of the players. One of the Greek players who knows English then translates instructions for the non-English speaking Greek speaking players.
One of his assistants who comes from Iraq, speaks Iraqi to the players from Iraq. Never heard of that language. Used to know a man from Iraq who spoke English and his mother tongue was Arabic

Try xscores.com, they're sightly better than livescore - despite being run by livescore. Does that make sense?

Thanks for the updates lads keep em coming.

Despite all the channels I have here in work the only game of footie I could find tonight was some friendly on German TV involving Kaiserslautern. They won 16-0 :D

Have about 10 channels that seem to be showing Zidanes interviews on a loop though

Ohhh for good old RTE

Cork need to go on and score more than 1 goal. Very ordinary team this Cypriot outfit.

CollegeTillIDie
12/07/2006, 8:11 PM
Yes but this is the Cypriots first competitive game of their season. Roy O'Donovan got injured and none of the Apollon players kicked the ball out so he could get treatment. The Cypriot team's players are a bunch of diving cheats.
Dave Barry reckons the game is getting a bit nasty at the moment.

CollegeTillIDie

86 minutes Apollon have a free kick just outside the box. Sosin takes it and it hits the bottom of the upright and bounced back into play.

Apollon hit inside of post from a free-kick. Cork very lucky. 87 mins gone!

CollegeTillIDie

O'Donovan fouled on the right not far outside the Apollon penalty area. Free-kick City. Fenn's kick head down to O'Brien whose reaction kick never troubled the Apollon goal.

Hopefully Cork will improve in the return leg.
