Unbelievable, just my luck, the USA end up one man down
rather than one man up!!!!
And they had a goal disallowed (I though I was quids in).
Betting tip, do the opposite of what I do and you will probably
make a fortune.:D
I'm going to have to win it back at poker now (again  ).
Any way at all sure;)
We'll win some and lose some....happy days!

Typical!! 2 minutes later they score.
Brazil are brutal, time to lay them again and get more on Argentina
*Hoping Mickelson wins the golf tonight to fund all this activity*

f*ck france, 2 games in a row they let me down. torres at 14/1 for top goalscorer is great value considering they still have to play the mighty tunisia&saudis. thankfully i got him at 28/1

I have gone for a double today, a draw in the England Sweden game and a draw in the Germany Ecuador game. I think the England Sweden game has draw written all over it as it will suit both teams. 10/1 i got for that double.

Germany and Ecuador were never going to draw.Germany played a full team while Ecuador played a weakend side.waste of money, even if it was only €10.
Had Klose to score anytime and also backed him to get the second in betting in running.
At half time backed under5 corners and with 1.5 minutes left, ecuador got the 5th corner.
Ah well,Klose is back in the running for Top Scorer....happy days.

I did not know Ecuador would drop 5 players. I thought they would want to avoid England but maybe they feel that Sweden and England are a much of a muchness and I think they could be right in that.
We all dont have access to Bet Fair or abilty to bet on running from work so we have to make judgements before the game goes ahead or possibly a few days before the game goes ahead. No need to be such a ****ing know it all.

Neil, all you had to do was read a paper or something to hear about the line up before putting on the bet.
I dont have access to betfair either but knew Germany would still beat them.
Anywho,England at 7/5 are a great price to win, with Rooney starting and hopefully Lennon aswell.

I thought it would be a draw and I was wrong but sure thats the nature of gambling, big deal but know need to come on wise after the bet and say it was a waste of money. Easy knowing you waited till after the game to do that rather than say it before the game.
The Stars
20/06/2006, 5:04 PM
well im only home so didnt get a chance to post it before.
Im gonna say England will beat Sweden,so lets see how that goes.
If its a draw you can say it was a waste of money if you want, and il accept it and agree with you.
NeilMcD
20/06/2006, 5:07 PM
Just cause you lose a bet does not mean it was a waste of money. Betting for Argentina to win 6-0 against Serbia would have been a waste of money but you would have won. Betting on Liverpool to win the Champions league at 3-0 would have been a waste of money. Football has a habit of making fools out of us all that is why its not a great sport to bet on. I think the game tonight will be tight and both managers have said a draw suits them so I felt it will be a draw but who knows England could sneak a win or Sweden could sneak a win. I did not agree with you coming on here and taking the **** out of my bet after the event which is a pretty easy thing to do.
You sound bitter that you didn't realise they would drop all those players, easy mistake that happens to the best of us. Get over it.
You seem more jealous of the fact that he's been gambling in running and you haven't. Relax. I didn't think it was that smug at all.

Thus ensuring England lose knowing my betting track record :D

fcuking knew sweden would score....never backing england again.
When England scored my bets for a 3 or 4 nil win didn't look too remote.
It all went pear shaped in the second half though.
Ah well another 50p down the drain :D
Looks like the smart money was on the draw but I like a big price so
I don't have to put to much on and then I don't feel bad when
I inevitable lose.
I can't see England winning the tournement after a performance like
that, their price of 13/2 is a joke in my opinion, they only have one
fully fit proven striker left.
The 6-1 for Ecuador to beat England looks quite appealing but I expect
they will scrape through somehow.

Well I did England to win and half time and game to end in a draw and got it at 14/1, lucky I got that one, ahh well you win some you lose some. I felt England often start well and are not good in the 2nd half against teams so I felt the 14/1 was great value and so it turned out.
Lads in relation to the above, I am not bitter at all as it was only a tenner but I dont like been talked down to by smug comments. As I said above you win some you lose some

I've predicted the outcomes from the last 2 days in the prediction league correctly. That would have paid a bit, about 35/1. :(
None of the outcomes were much of a suprise which is more annoying.

A draw on Holland v Argentina today today looks appealing at 2/1. A 0-0 looks very appealling at 11/2 considering it has the makings of a "sit back and take it easy" game. I fancy Angola to beat Iran and Ivory Coast should ensure that Serbia go home pointless.
I'm unsure of the Portugal v Mexico game. I think Portugal should have too much for them but I've read that Scolari will not play all 5 players that picked up bookings including Deco, Ronaldo and Pauletta so a draw would be more on the cards thus ensuring both go through.
NeilMcD

I think a 2 draws between Mexico and Portugal and Holland Argentina are decent bets in my view. But betting on final games that do not mean that much is always dodgy.

Sweden. :(
I did a 10 match accumulator and the only one to let me down was Mexico against Angola.
Sweden busted an accum of mine for over a grand too against T&T
Friend of mine backed Klose to score first and Germany to win 3-0, €200 22/1. ******

Does anyone have any idea why you can still back Brazil to win their group at 1/100 on Betfair? They've won the group already even if they lose 10-0 tomorrow.

Is it not goal difference that counts first? Australia can still pass them if so.

No, head to head. If both teams have drawn it goes down to goal difference.

That's wrong.

I think the the problem is the rules used in the qualifying stages and final
are different for some reason. The rules I posted are correct for the final stage.
