Think Croatia will be too good for Australia tonight. Prso due a goal and they are 7/2(-1).
Glad the Czechs are out, think Ghana will give Brazil a better test in the next round. They're not as great as everyone says and hopefully Ireland will put it up to them in the Euro Qualifiers.
Juninho at 11/1 worth a couple of euro for first goal.

I'm having a pop on Mexico, I can't resist the 10-1
It's the kiss of death for them though ;)

1:0 Mexico :D
(By the way the Mexican coach is an Argie, he looks a right bad tempered ***
I am hoping that will motivate the Mexicans to win!).

There should have been an Argie sent off. Mexico were a different team in the
second half, back to the rubbish they played against Angola ie making every
second pass straight to the opposition. The 10-1 odds were still worth
taking.

I got on the Aussies at 5-1 just before Italy had a man sent off.
Probably be a draw at 90 mins though.
Backed Portugal at 25/1 just before kick off last night. Still seething at Deco being sent off but I reckon they'll beat England anyway

I put £6 on a 0-0 Swiss Ukraine draw 15 minutes from the end at 1/2 looked
like a dead cert and it was. First winner I have had but, all the others were
long shots.

invest that £9 wisely tricky, you wont find it going.
Torres to score first and spain to win 2-0 is the bet of the day today.
Backed a draw/Brazil and Spain tonight. Really like the first bet though
Terrible defending by the right back, dreadful finishing + poxy goalkeeping and an awful offisde decision put pay to that bet.
If you have a Brazil to win WC docket, make sure you put it in the paper recycling basket. Do it now in case you forget.

I have backed France to win 2:1 at half time, I was going to do that from the
start but I chickened out, then Spain scored. Traditionally France beat
Spain in non-friendly matches, 2:1 being a common result. No doubt Spain will
score immediately after the restart knowing my luck!!

I had a very quid on France to beat Portugul at evens, which I though
was a good price, given that Portugul couldn't beat a poor England side
with 10 men, so maybe my luck is changing.
Hard to pick a winner in the final though, Italy are slight favourites.
I can see it going into extra time.

Don't know about France but I got Italy at 10/1 in March on Betfair (they were 9/1 in the bookies at the time). After the match fixing scandal came out the odds went to about 12s afaik.

I have France to win 1:0 at 11/2.
Now I have to hope no one scores in the remaining 83 minutes!!!
(Probably more like 91 minutes including injury time).

Well that bet that lasted all of 12 minutes!
I was just thinking maybe I should also cover myself with a 1:1 bet, but
I guess that will go down the pan too!

Well done to everyone who had Italy done.
Must admit I didnt think they had a hope at the start of the competition but their defence was solid as a rock and they were so hard to score agianst.
Ah well,at least Klose got Top Scorer......il be in tomorrow Paddy, have my money ready.
BTW,if you backed France you get your money back.

Just back back from a week in Spain and loved collecting my lids off Pat Power. Can't believe more people weren't on Italy, good price for a team that hadn't lost in so long. Unlucky on France, really gave it a go that none of us who saw them in Lansdowne could have imagined.
