Seems slightly crazy to be honest.
Whilst I have full support for the Setanta Sports Cup, Derry and Sligo are the only clubs directly affected by this.
EDIT: Appears just to be Aertel mistakes

It should say "Their Eircom League fixtures..."
I got worried when I saw the thread title...but the games refer to April 21 so I already knew Rovers and Limerick was off..

there was crowd trouble
Of course, though perhaps also because it was to be played at Tolka the night before.

Just on to one of the UCD officials, and he's heard nothing about our game with Shels in Belfield being moved.
Just badly worded.

I suspect Rovers v Limerick postponded as to save the pitch which makes sense

Well, postponed because it was down for Tolka Park, so yeah - same reason really. Basically, we just spent a thread coming to the unsurprising conclusion that RTE had screwed up.

There's no reason why the Setanta Cup final couldn't be played in Tolka on Easter Monday.  Instead we now have 3 league games postponed, and lopsided-looking league tables, just for Setanta's benefit.
Only in Ireland...
doesnt bother me cos pats v bray is already changed to wednesday.....
First I've heard of that, are you sure? Not confusing it with the recent League Cup game by any chance are you ?

Nah Tony, it's true. The Bray game is moved to next Wednesday cos the powers that be wanna use Richmond for an U-17 international or something on the Friday night.
Its actually cos there is a womens international in Richer on saturday and the opposition (switzerland) have to be able to use the pitch for training the nite before.
Originally it was changed to easter monday but then changed again to tomorro nite.

They could have used it as the half time entertainment on Friday night :D Looking forward to the game now, hopefully we contuine our form from the Cork game.
