That could be a crucial game, I'd fancy Wembley to win it though.

If Wembley have to meet corbally, that could be a tough run in.

Still reckon Star Corbally Wembley 1-2-3 with Summerville/Herbertstown sneaking 4th.

Nah fonsie, we have Corbally and Croom away, Summerville and Caherdavin at home.

totally agree with you as any person with any soccer brain would agree star are only a pub team like hill celtic

Youve been slating Star all season and just dont want to give us credit.

At the end of the day we set ourselves targets at the start of the season and they were to win promotion to the Prem and do well in both the FAI and MJC, and we did just that.

We'll worry about the Prem League when this season is finished, and of course we need a few players in, but then again what team that gets promoted doesnt.

As for being a "pub team" all I'll say is that reacing the last 16 of two major comps and winning promotion and possibly the league title isnt bad for a pub team.

couldnt agree with you more. 10 of our starting 11 are under 22. but to say they put us under pressure is rubbish. they didnt get it into our half for the entire second half. and we should have beaten them the other night aswell but the referee gave them everything and we were lucky to get a draw because of him. in my opinion we havent come across a team yet in 1a that are better than us. its only a matter of time before we go up because we have the best players in the league, fact.

Dont know what drugs your on, but lets look at the facts.

1. The League Table doesnt lie.

2. We have taken 4points off ye over the 2 games.

3. Star Rvs hit the woodwork three times on Tuesday evening (so to say ye outplayed us is a bit far fetched)

4. You say "referee gave them everything" (Did ye not score from a penalty)??

Its no wonder Corbally are struggling for promotion with your type of attitude.

Ye were top if the league at one stage this season and the only reason ye were up there was because Star had games in hand.

Sort out your attitude and ye might win promotion.

first of all, ye hit the bar twice, the second of which was a deflected shot that was going wide. secondly, ye're keeper should have been sent off for the penalty, anyone who saw it could tell you that. but fair play to ye, easily deserved to win the league, c ye next year when ye come back down

think people saying teams from 1a gonna stuggle next year in the premier if they get promoted is a bit premature. can remember the same been said about regional, granville and ul/ aisling and they all are easily safe. u can bet with pa boland at the helm he is gonna stengthen his side signifigantly as will Wembley if we go up already 4 or 5 players playing with premier clubs who have previously played with wembley will sign for us if we get promoted. same can also be said about corbally.

Whoever goes up (Corbally/Wembley/Summerville) will have to strengthen but survival is not impossible.

Of all the sides I'd fancy Corbally most to stay up. Summerville have some decent players, Wembley too. It will be interesting.

Corbally & Wembley are excellent sides. I like Summerville too although I've only seen them a few times. I still fancy Corbally to do it. I think they will knock Herbertstown out of the promotion race then it's down to who has the nerve, them, Summerville or Wembley.

What 500euro??
We require 1 point to be garaunteed at least a play off with Herbertstown for the league title providing Herbertstown win all their remanining games (which I doubt)
or
We require 2 ponits to win the league outright (so any win or 2 draws in our last 3 games will do for us)

We also signed Darren Walsh (Ex View, Pike Dines & Mungret) last night and he is available to play immediately as he hadnt signed for any club this season due to being in Australia for the past 12months, and he was training last night and didnt look of the pace either, so another good addition.

Just wanna say what a joke the new LDMC website is, considering it is only updated every fortnight IF we are lucky,

I mean, in all fairness how long would it take to update a few league tables and enter a few results, and whats the point in starting a website if you cant or wont keep it updated.

We are at the most important part of the season now for clubs fighting relegation and promotion as well as fighting for league titles and yet we have to wait for the league tables to be printed once a fortnight again IF we are luck in the Leader.

For anyone connected to updating the website can you please, please try and get the finger out, even as new as it is it would be a very good website and very important to all junior players, supporters and members of clubs if you could only update the website more often than you are currently doing, like maybe every 2 days as apposed to every 2 weeks.

Yeah, it was on in Herbertstown...

Herbertstown (an average 1A side who have found their level) were REALLY lucky to win.

Mungret would have scored first but luckily for Town a tractor which happened to be passing in front of their goal stopped a shot their keeper had no chance of getting near.

They scored when the ball (covered in cow-sh*t) slipped through the hands of the Mungret keeper - very lucky goal.

Can't understand why these muckers aren't kicked out of the league

Star3-2Wembley

were on top for most of first half but missed a rake of great chances cant afford to do that against star. story of our season cant really seem to score goals when on top of teams. dodgy off side goal star player was off pitch ran back on at end line had to be off side put star one up. got a goal back just before half time. about 15 mins in 2nd half scored again to put us one up, but star came back really strong and got 2 goals in last 20 mins. to give them the league.

at 2-1 up we should of seen out the game. with star already promoted we should of wanted game more than them and we dont deserve to go up after that defeat. another season in 1a to look forward to my money on corbally to win their remaining games and get promoted.

any results from league and cup in 1a

our game against coonagh on tuesday is called off to facilitate for our u 17s fai final next week club need a week to prepare for it for some reason. clubs priorities are on winning scoolboy and youth leagues and cups rather than promotion to premier. like a feeder club for premier clubs and limercick senior and u21s all good players leave after youths. understandable they are not gonna stay in 1a when they are offered opportunity to play in the premier league.

Well you are correct the site needs to be updated on a regular basis but the problem is not the site but the information and how it gets posted. The site was introduced this year as a trial and might I add with no structures as to how information is passed on. there are a new set of proposals being put before the AGM and these if passed will allow all results to be posted on the site as the official results as and when they happen. The process at the moment is that the info has to come from the PROPER CHANNELS before being posted. sorry if you guys are not happy but remember this site was dragged in kicking and screaming and there are a lot of the committee who still do not want it there at all. I would ask that you all persuade your clubs to vote for the changes in the committee that will make the site work properly.
