Tentative talks have started with IANROD EIREANN with regard to running Excursion Trains to Dublin Dec 4th for FAI CARLSBERG Cup Final.
Cork Kent To Dublin Connolly Station to be confirmed pending outcome of Meeting to decide Venue.

Times and Prices to follow.
Please indicate interest ASAP to allow adequate Trains to be arranged

Those details haven't been decided yet.
For now, fans just need to get to Dublin.
Tomorrow the FAI will tell them if they must head south or north. :)

No , Cork to Connelly is correct .Its what they normally do ,cos it discourages regular travellers buying the cheaper tickets and taking up all the seats.Its the Norm for GAA game ,and in days gone by when there used be Ireland game matchday specials

Expect it to one of the old black and orange ones no lights or bar trains tho

There still are match day specials for Ireland game but they go cork - heuston and return from connolly. You get a whopping €3 off the normal price.

That'll tell ya how long it is since I used one -88/90/ even 92 there used be 2 or 3 specials every game.....then the team released Ole Ole as a song

It would be great to see, a train full of Cork Fans, we did that going down to use, think it was 1989 for the cup semi final, had 1300 on it, largest passenger train ever in Ireland, unbelievable buzz. cost a fortune though, back then it was 5000 deposit, dont know the full cost.

Train will be leaving Cork at 7.45am on the morning of the game, getting us to Dubland sometime after 11.
Leaving to come home at 7pm.
Total Cost for the train I believe to be €45

It certainly is, considering a normal day return ticket is €56.50
