I dont have the mental capacity to watch another year long manager hunt. We've talked about green shoots for years. Id rather a shot to the head at the moment.
Even on the off chance we come back in this game somehow, there is no fun or enjoyment in this anymore

The thing is, if they got at these lads at all you just know they'd collapse, but we still look lethargic out there.
Have to get Johnston on in the next five minutes. He'll create chances by himself in a way no-one else we have can.

We all need to take a collective look at ourselves. Because we are blaming this manager, that manager, this player, that player, this formation, that formation, pointing to what we think we know about football, about our players, their clubs and their roles at those clubs and then disparaging the weak opposition.
We have a minority of players who are vital to their clubs, but none of them - not one - who are vital in a part of the pitch that wins you games for a club of importance. Not even Ferguson yet.
They are either defenders, or they are water carriers who have better players to do it for them.
We point to results in MEANINGLESS matches and how expending maximum effort and some skill against teams with bigger and better priorities as another reason why we deserve to beat 'minnows' such as Armenia etc, all while ignoring the difficulties that these perceived minnows have caused us.
We mock Armenia for getting the **** pumped out of them the other night by arguably one of the best teams in the world right now - the same team gave us a tonking not too long ago. What ****ing right do we have to laugh at Armenia?

Theres no excuses, player for player we should be far better than Armenia. Our players lose the capacity to play simple 5 yard passes when they put on an Ireland shirt. Evan Ferguson is fantastic and we should be doing everything possible to just feed him the ball, instead we cant pass past midfield

There's absolutely a lot in what you say about our lot - but I do think we should still absolutely not be struggling/losing against Armenia (again)
We definitely have a lot of bog-average players though
Plus Kelleher. Well done Kelleher. Keeping us in it against ****ing Armenia

And rightly so. We all know these games are a struggle and we’re almost never going to hammer them. I’m not sure anyone was laughing at them or taking them for granted. What we should be able to expect though is some sort of coherent approach and sense of shape and tactics. We knew what Kenny wanted to do, but couldn’t execute and had no plan B. HH gave the impression he’d make the team tactically sound, with a cohesive shape and basic style. What’s happening tonight is worse than anything in the recent past. We’ve got players with far more experience, playing at a very high level and they look like a badly organised Astro league team who’ve just met for the first time. It’s baffling.

Incredible read from Kelleher. We have no choice but to take risks though, a draw does us no good.

Brentford are winners over the last couple of games, Kelleher's value has just gone up for the way he has kept his awful international side in games.

No decent players in the centre of the park though.
Not even a James McCarthy

McCarthy played 250 times in the Premier League, he'd be a Rolls Royce compared to what we have in the middle now. Massively underrated player for us.

Im seeing more and more why Celtic fans werent convinced by Idah, its not not scoring goals, it small things like not being ready to chase that ball that wasnt going out and then not having the guile to know he was going to be nudged an put it out for a defensive throw. Again maybe its my frustration but the little thinsg mount. This is like League of Ireland side in Europe against a bang average side, just not showing up and having calamity moments. Id be seriously disappointed if this was Dundalk.

A bit mad to think that a team as bad as us could be at Euro 2028.

Yeah and we tried the overloading midfield strategy that some have been calling for and it was still a shambles. 2028 I guess, although at this rate we'll be depending on Scotland to qualify automatically

Maybe this puts Stephen Kenny's efforts in some perspective....we're just not good enough!
We lack something in midfield but more importantly we lack something psychologically. Players are at some decent clubs so we should be better s whats the issue. Collins is not a good captain imo, its a burden to him. I am on the verge of a major rant but Im sure everyone is.................

A country that views it's standard of football based on the lower reaches of a foreign league, with zero incentive or finances given to developing international players at home is a system akin to a castle made of sand.

But sadly our domestic clubs are incapable of producing the standard of players we require so we have no option but to export them. They play in Ireland, then they go abroad and it takes 18 months minimum for them to get up anywhere near the required standard. Our clubs have no money to improve and football will never be a government priority in a western first world nation.

They've conceded 21 games in five games this year, including conceding five (or more) three times. They haven't won at home in a year, including a loss to the Faroe Islands in November.
If we can't win this, it's time to give serious thought to giving up on football.
What I said. Time's up.

I suspect Hallgrimsson will walk of his own accord. Doubtful that we can get rid of O'Shea and McCarthy as easily though. Maybe bring Duff in for the four games just to generate some interest. But, to be honest, I'm more interested in the Under 17 World Cup than four meaningless senior fixtures.

The scoreline flattered us.
We were abysmal in defence, invisible in midfield, impotent in attack.
Only Kelleher can come out with any credit. It could have been a couple more without him.
With 10-15 minutes to go, and 2-1 down, why in the world are we bringing on a full back and a lad who forms the centre of a St Mirren low block?
All we had was to throw it or lump it into the box, and we didn't even do that with any organisation.
Genuinely atrocious. As somebody who was very critical of Stephen Kenny from an earlier stage than most, I'd say that rivalled any of Kenny's terrible efforts.
