Interestingly both sligo and corks next two games are against bohs and Waterford, Cork will need to get another couple of points back there and maybe they can dream
Well our next game is against Pats

Mother of god that’s some howler from Lewis Temple for shels. There’s gifted goals then there’s that

That feels like 2 points dropped and an opportunity to put some daylight between ourselves and Shels in 5th.

Yeah, thats the one. Almost felt bad for him.
He could barely kick the ball at times. He only came in a couple of weeks ago apparently…probably imposed from on high !

Draw probably fair. We were too passive in the second half. Mind you DJT will be having nightmares about that chance.

He should have went down in the box the defender was shoving into his back.
But having stayed up, yeah had to score, still nice to see him back.
We really really need two big strong centre backs who kick **** out of the opposition, every one of ours is either too soft too slow or useless.
Draw probably fair though , but both managers will be upset at the awful defending.

The first bohs goal was about as bad as howler as I think its possible to give away. I'd say joey OB was going mental it wasn't a mistake under pressure it was just lazy and careless

As dreary a game at the Brandywell that you'll see, a game certainly lacking fireworks. Getting harder to watch football on that surface.
Yes the surface, thats why Derry are champions elect.....their away performances have been total fire crackers too!

Can yiz fight it out among yerselves and leave Dundalk out of things, like if everyone didnt try then its all the same! Think F1 or long distance athletics where people get out of the way of the leader:)

He was very lucky not to be shown a second yellow card and lucky to have scored with a cross but other than that he was excellent to be fair

Ref could have given a second yellow, sure but he could also have with at least two and maybe three shels players.
And the pice of ****e screaming **** off into the face of a little kid after shels equaliser, poor little lad was in bits, not a good look by the shels player at all

Even, even more annoying when you consider Harps ridiculous amount of time wasting from far too early gifted Bray the time to equalise

Huge game for us tonight. It’s a must win to stay in the hunt for European football next season. I’d say SK will make a few changes but will start the core of the team from Thursday especially considering the European tie is more or less over.

Sometimes one despairs...tbf no complaints on what was a comfortable night for Longford last evening, well deserved victory and a super second goal but to travel to watch the absolute tripe dished out by Treaty under this spoofer of a manager leaves the disappointment levels at an all time high. Its 9 wins in 27 games and the usual platitudes of progress and over achievement given out to appease .Enough is enough time to go Tommy ,a long time there ,nothing to show for it and all your talk.

It’s a yellow to the pats diver and a free out, shocking.

Never a red card. I was shocked when the ref pulled it out tbh.

It's an annual shocker in Richmond at this stage. As a Sligo supporter how could you continue to fork out over €100 to get to Richmond to watch a ref ruin a game.

Nobody was calling for a red there ... players, fans, management, nobody. That red could easily be overturned but that wont change the result or the table. We were well in that game and then you're best player on the nite is sent off. And Pats first was defo handball too. Depressed.

I’ll have to rewatch the first goal. All I saw was a defensive mix up and Mulraney followed it in. We scored some nice goals in the second half. Delighted with the three points.

You can debate whether it was a foul or not because it was a soft one but it absolutely wasn’t a dive because there was clear, albeit minimal, contact. The red card bit was utterly insane though, the covering defender was so far back that the foul itself technically wasn’t even a last man back foul. When the red came out everyone around me just burst out laughing, we then all assumed the red must’ve been for something McClean said to the ref because there’s no way it could be for that foul, but low and behold it amazingly seems to have been for that. Delighted that the luck of a horrendous decision from McGrath has come back Pats way though having been on the receiving end of some shockers from him earlier in the year. At half time even with Sligo down to 10 I feared Pats would struggle to break them down given the Kalju game when they were down to 9, but Sligo just never came out of the traps second half and it could’ve been an absolute cricket score had Sargeant not pulled off some good saves and Pats missed a hatful of good chances

It was a swan dive, embarrassing.
Never enough contact to make him fall over.
DJT for Bohs v shels took two shoves in the back on his way through and stayed on his feet, that was a dive manufactured to get the defender at least a yellow and a free kick.
Ref is a gob****e for buying it, never even a free.

Given he didn’t go down, that means the contact wasn’t enough to make him go down.

So let me get this straight, you wanted your teams striker to manufacture a foul yesterday, but when Melia does it today it’s ‘embarrasing’. That is some absolutely iconic double standards from you Dermo :)

Dreary is putting it far too mildly. One of the worst games of football I've seen in a while. And that's saying something considering some of the dross we've watched over recent years.
That match has made me wonder about Lynch.
Cork, for their part, aren't very good, but they did work hard and deserved the point.
We need a serious buck up of our ideas. Play anything like that next week against Drogs and we'll be a few goals down at half time.

I think he booked Mulroney after the goal for taking out his shin pad and showing it to the rovers fans. Baffling stuff from McGrath again.

I seen Mulraney asking for the fourth officials opinion on the booking. It seemed a bizarre card to get if that is the case. I just assumed that might have over done the celebrations in front of the Sligo Rovers fans.

Pretty sure it was that cause if you look at the clip he just runs off initially and celebrates with a couple of Pats players. Saw him doing that then but no one cared and was assuming it was for that.

I thought the at was a strange one as well at the time. His kids sit in that area of the stand just beside the away end so I was thinking maybe he’s got a picture of them on his shinguard so took the shinguard out in front of them when celebrating the goal.
After googling it though that surprisingly is a yellow card in the laws of the game.
Removing shinguards, even during a celebration, can be seen as delaying the restart of play or entering the field of play without permission, both of which are yellow card offenses

Delighted with the draw in the end, especially with Juan MartÃn popping up again!
But Jesus, if we don't have that Temple brainfart, who knows how it may have played out. All in all, it served to underline a lot of the obvious deficiencies that we have with a couple of our stalwarts in defence. It also, wrote large the fact that Harry Wood and Keir McInroy are practically irreplaceable for us.

The red never looked like one in the moment and even less so watching it back. As I was about to say "looked lucky to get a free there" the ref had the card out.
If Sligo can take any solace from today's events it should be that they would have lost anyway, given this is the part of the season when we win every league game for the remainder of it.

Nice to see we've figured out how to get a clean sheet. Our first point on the board since the Autumn of 1588.
