Fair to say that the stakes couldn't be any higher than they are going into Friday's encounter - win, and a potential RTE debut could be the reward, while a loss would leave the club simply battling to stay ahead of our cup adversaries for the remainder of the season. Robbie Cleary made an instant impact in the Midlands on Saturday, but very few of the current squad could be said to be putting their hands up in recent weeks, so Healy will have to make do with the hand he's been dealt, rather than shuffling the decks. As for the visitors, they're about the only side in the division who've been just as much out of form over the last month, but former Shamrock Rovers man Gideon Tetteh continues to distinguish himself as a notable goal threat. One can only hope the side can take inspiration from the county football team battling their way back to the All-Ireland final after seemingly being totally out of form in the earlier stages.

Alot of stand tickets still available unfortunately. Would be doing well to get over the 500 mark.
Heimir looks to be out with a finger injury so Mathyas will start i presume. He was dreadful in Longford but surely has something to offer . Healy will surely start along with Cleary and that might get us over the line if the
defence has got its act together.
I'm going for a 4 -1 win.

On a terrible run of form since finally beating Bray. Need to get back to basics of defending first and keeping a clean sheet.

Probably the worst half of football I have ever watched. And a ref who is determined to spoil the game by dishing out cards for no reason…

Yea pain in my neck from watching the ball in the sky. Second half surely can't be worse.

Only started to play some bit of football after going a sloppy goal down and getting away with not conceding what seemed to be a stonewall penalty.

Kerry force the game into extra time with a goal from a free kick with the last kick of the game in normal time!

Great win if somewhat undeserved. What a free by Adams. Kerry seemed to play better football when they went ahead so I'm putting that horror show in the first half down to confidence. Don't like criticising players but Mathyas is beyond bad . I asked Tim how long he out for and he said 4 weeks without surgery. Keeper position going to be a big problem.

How did he sit on the bench in champions league for PSG!!! Does not look comfortable under crosses and with ball at his feet. The goal was a shocker - I’m now up to 11 of the 13 goals conceded in last 5 games all down to individual errors.

O’Connell and Adam’s made a big difference down the left side when brought on, gave team a bit more balance and put Teahan back into his most comfortable position. We looked a lot better when moved to 4-3-3. Not sure about back 5 anymore - it worked at the start but we are not very creative with it.

Stonewall penalty not given for Athlone for sure.

Great to be in the hat for the next round - let’s win a few league games now and aim for 6th or 7th place finish.
