Actually Stu, Harps ran a profit of 9% last year, so it is applicable.
Those figures were for turnover, not income/profit as you stated. There's no way Harps made E375k profit, being 9% of turnover!! In any case, a Harps director independently gave the E375k figure for turnover here as well. Obviously, profit is just as important as turnover.

Did UCD pull in €400k plus last year? How much of that was direct funding?
The report says E400k, which I assume is from our accounts. I'm not in a position to argue against that. If by direct funding you mean non-college-grant income, I believe you'd be looking at something like 90%+.

Stu...I never said Harps made anything like that much profit, originally I said the figure of €375k quoted was their income for last year (that is according to their audited accounts), then I stated that they had a profit of 9% for the same year. (Somewhere in the region of €40k again according to their audited accounts).
The €375k figure hasn't made consideration for the profit they made, you said yourself that turnover isn't solely made up of income in a particular year, profit if also considered.

Now you're really confusing me.

Of course the E375k includes Harps' profit. I said that income and turnover were synonymous, unless you go with the notion that income = profit. I never said turnover doesn't inlude profit though! E375k is Harps' turnover, which by definition includes profit. If the E375k doesn't include Harps' profit, then it's not their turnover - it's their expenses.
