I was at the game yesterday and dont agree with 'well deserved victory'. I thought Carrick played the better football and were unlucky to concede with what was virtually the last kick of the game. Carrick lost their shape when they went down to ten men. Pike looked dangerous from set pieces and relied on the long ball far too much. If plan A didn't work it was a case of 'stick to plan A'.

I suppose in terms of travelling away, hostile crowd, pressure game, etc credit due to Pike for coming away with a win. They kept their shape and kept it tight. But in terms of who the better footballing team was, I would have to disagree.

Just Like To Thank Every One For The Best Wishes
Would Love To Have A Crack At Pike In The Final What Would Be The Odds On That Might Put A Few Euros On That One Myself Could Be A Big Surprise That Day ?

. What can I say only well done to Aisling Annacotty getting through to the last eight, I did say Ballyheane would be a fortress and it was even when they lost there keeper Sean Fahey. For which I have no complaints I think it was one of those things that in the end did decide the fate of Ballyheane.
However one must not forget down to ten men they battled hard and credit must be given to Their Captain Peter Burke in the way he rallied his team.
Also the bravery of Mathew Conroy in the spirit he show as stand in keeper even through they had David Sherdian up front who was also a keeper. One must think that having to play David in this position would have unbalanced the side.
While the two sides defended with giving nothing away, the writing was always on the wall. Whilst the sending off Sean one couldn’t honestly believe that Mat could save them, even for while towards the end of penalty shoot out during the sudden death. Mat did give a glimmer of hope that soon was to fade as evening drawn to a close.
Well Annacotty can now plot there next journey to Athenry, Ballyheane can now concentrate in the new season ahead which starts March 12th.
One must comment in the way Ballyheane set out making sure every thing on the day was perfect from being the perfect host to looking after supporters from home and away, take a bow Ballyheane you represented your league with pride.

such bitterness for no reason. Everyone should be behind pike and ul, it would be great if one of them won it, neither have won it before. Last year it went to mayo for god sake
