Jamie Mullins was made captain of Brightons U21s this season and manager talked him up after their lose at the weekend.


First team football isn’t too far off for Mullins, according to Ruth, if he continues on his current trajectory.

“Jamie has had a really good year and we are hopeful that in the next six months he can continue to shine and maybe either be around our first team fringes or go out on loan,” said Ruth.

Hopefully gets the move. Few orish lads in that 21s set up at Southampton. Very talented lad obviously be great to see him.get a run of games feels like he hadn't played for 18 months

Have to say I've pretty much given up on Zefi, doesn't seem to have the right attitude by the sounds of it, he thought it would just happen for him. Unless that changes he won't do any better at Southampton than at Inter or Roma.

At least he is back fairly early. With the young players who have left Liverpool carvalho and clark and the likes of doak likely to go on loan like koumas he should have a chance on been close as a wide option on the bench for early league Cup games

Is there any sense of Mullins' overall progression with Brighton? He'll be 21 in September, played men's football with Bohs as a 16 year old, would have hoped he would get a half decent loan move at some stage. Is his contract up this summer?

Dunno, Crawford at it again... There's a chance he ends up being an excellent footballer. It's a long shot but he has so much technical ability, he could still become a really good player. And who's Crawford selected ahead of him? Probably someone like Ben Quinn of Mansfield...

He's 20 now and has yet to play a first team game in his career. I'm not a fan of Crawford but I suspect he might have gotten this one right. At least Ben Quinn plays games.

Ben Quinn doesn't play any games. One League One appearance this season. Unsure if injured because he got his only game early in season and hasn't been seen since. But he doesn't play games.
