so can the board of sligo rovers decide that they are going to sell the ground, and then keep hold of the proceeds.?
Our board isn't like some other clubs boards either AFAIK we are a Co-Operative any one who buys a share in the club (it used to be £500 old money) can get on the board if elected at our AGM's.
Sligo Rovers F.C. the peoples club :D

Well the University own Belfield Park and also own the Bowl home of the rugby club which is mooted to be the new home of the soccer club when Belfield Park is demolished and apartments are built on it

You've proved me entirely wrong, jimmy-boy!
How could I have been so clueless!?
Cork City FC have been telling me some terrible lies about getting grants from the FAI.

waterford united as good as own the rsc,
the rsc was built by waterford city council for the people of waterford and gave waterford united first preference to the use of the pitch for life free of charge.
Not sure about that, I was under the impression that WUFC paid rent to the corporation but that there was an agreement for a number of years whereby rent was reduced/eliminated as a result of Waterford putting in the floodlights. Maybe one of those people who have shares in the PLC could enlighten us on this?
