I think it might be too late now, but if we were to qualify for the first round proper, what are the chances of removing the crush barriers, getting a few cavity blocks and borrowing a few planks of wood from bishopstown to make the shed seated. IMO this would not be very difficult to do.

I rekon the fans could give a helping hand.
All those with safe pass raise your hands :D

bench seating isnt premitted for the uefa cup, this is why the djurgardens game was switched from the olympic stadium to the rasunda

I know where we can get seats.
I was down in Twickenham on Saturday (don't ask) and this is what I saw... (http://www.hfrfc.co.uk/PhotosSSDP%202005.htm)
Seats for free it would seem.

Would it be worth the effort and cost of putting in temporary seating like they do on the terraces at Landsdowne Road?

Is that even possible in the Shed?

The Uefa rules are a joke anyway.

Ekranas had the areas behind their goals closed cos only had wooden benches on the terracing. Their plastic seats were just screwed onto the sorta rotten wooden benches on the rest of the ground.

I think you'd only get a few hundred seats into the shed and I doubt the cost of that would be offset with ticket sales.

Having said that, CCFC could apply for the same derogation the national team had now that the plans to redevelop the Shed end are in place and the money to carry out the work can be drawn down.
