Its called LDMC logic...dont you know from last season that the season is not meant to finish until July!!!:p

So the fact that the long weekend is next weekend has passed you guys out? These are important games and should be played at the same time so it is fair to have them on a weekend when there is less chance of potponments or teams wishing to have games off.
By the way last season was a late finish and considering the level of games off this season I recon that having all divisions completed bar 1 by the end of May was good going and the fixtures on the LDMC website will detemine the season for the Premier, So give a break from the slagging for the sake of slagging.

old keeper i agree with having the important matches on at the same time but what is the point of the above matches
just to see who comes 2nd/3rd/4th??

Pointless

Old keeper
31/05/2006, 9:24 AM
well if you ask the mentors of the clubs who can finish 2nd 3rd or 4th they will probably disagree, and more importantly there are players who actually enjoy playing soccer and with games at the end of the season all squad members can have a run, so lets not forget the reasons for playing are varied. If teams do not want to play games that they feel are pointless they can contact the Committee or Fixtures secretary and they will most likely be accommodated. Lastly with the pressure off teams the last few games can have a great atmosphere and if the club is a strong one (as our premier clubs should be)there should be no reason not to be able to field teams.

fair enough it sounds like people want them played

but surely 6 games in 17 days is a bit much for balla

I would tend to agree but it seems they are on a roll at the moment and they might want to capitalise on that scoring 5 goals in the lawson semi without reply, But as I said if they feel they need a break they can contact the fixtures sec or the general committee.

Great result for Park after a tough year where they lost a lot of players. Club didnt deserve to go down anyway..Fair play to the management.

What kind of team had Balla out?

Surely the LDMC are not going to go ahead with the last remaining fixtures in the Prem League now that all is resolved, are they?

Great to see Alan still able to contribute to the game...
Is it true that bennis and alan finucane are going to balla?Do balla need a keeper.I thought paudie hickey was there or is bennis needed for cover.... dont think that he'll sit on the bench for another year......

balla had an alright team out but the state that most of them were in wasn't the best not sure if some of them will remember the match not to mind the score

Transfers

heard nothing about al finucane or bennis signing

finucane is class and wud be a great addition but i've heard nothing

don't think bennis would come back to balla after his brief stint

I suppose thats true.... Wouldn't be a bad signing for any club looking for a keeper, just needs to get fit after his injuries that he's had...Will be intresting to see if he'll stay with pike or move on...

Balla had a full team out except for Earls.talking to one of the Boro lads yesterday and he said that they had the bare eleven.O'Hanlon was playing center back and Daithi O'Donoghue was in nets for them.heard that Balla only started taking the pi** once they went 2-0 down and knew they were beaten. typical Balla

I know where it hapened twice in the last 2 years where a player was booked twice and not given a red card ..
