Going by pike's website, keith hartnett is their top scorer with 15, david morris 14, don't know if you can call him a striker or not as he seems to have a new position every few weeks. Pa moloney has 11. Nabs has 5 he has been injured alot this season. Nabs hasn't done it this season after a great first season. Pike have always struggled to score goals over the last few seasons They've had a lot of strikers too, shane o'connor, frankie stewart, gerry o'connell. It may be down to the strikers but it has to be said they are not a creative side and don't produce alot of chances

I still don't think JOC would do any better than what they have. He wouldn't suit pike's game at all IMO.

i would agree with you there Dirk, whats happening there next year with the departure of Pa Mul. Some new players needed with nabs not performing and ronan hanrahan going to aisling. Will it be a case of Dec Casey and Kev Fitzgerald and will this mean Ian Bennis will be keeping goal?

But the ldmc remind me of the head pigs in Animal Farm..." all pigs are equal, but some pigs are more equal than others" Having had dealings with this bunch(they are not all bad) i have to agree with some of the posts on this thread.. if you vote for the right people you can bassically pick your matches, avoid suspensions and cancel matches.... i dont blame all of the ldmc but there are a few people who run it as a favour club...

Its good to see the effort you are putting in old keeper and i think everyone should offer as much support as they can. My two cents

if you are doing a database of players in limerick I would suggest that when players are being registered it should be mandatory they fill out a player profile sheet accompanied with a passport size photo, that way you have the information to hand to put on the site and u will not be depending on club sites to keep their web pages up to date. It would be a good feature on the LDMC site. Clubs that dont submit the info cannot register players simple really. Good luck trying to swing that one.

Would not mind seeing club sponsors getting some coverage on the site also, it can only help junior clubs for the future.

There is a proposed rule change to introduce Photo registration for next season (with your suggestion in mind) this will be voted on at the AGM so get your club delegates to back it.

Club sponsors can be placed on the club pages it just needs someone to mail the details in and they will be posted.

Well Hopefully you will be at the AGM to express your views, I agree the fact that Pike did not get their medals was poor but there is no point in complaining all the time if you dont try to change things. Come to the AGM and get active in having your club vote the way YOU want them to vote.

Just a note to say that there are 115 teams competing in the LDMC divisions and the vast majority have a pretty uneventful season dealing with the LDMC there are always going to be problems with some decisions. Over the years it has been a situation where some one knows something because they heard it from someone else but can't say who! this is an impossible position to be in for any committee as the laws of natural justice must prevail and with clubs being very quick to appeal and go legal all decisions must be made by the rules that currently apply. However I can guarentee you that if there is any proof of wrongdoing submitted to the LDMC the pertaining matter will be dealt with.
It might be an idea if the processes and proceedures of the LDMC were made more available to clubs and then everyone would understand the constraints (we will try that next season) In the meantime if you have any evidence of wrongdoing, mail it to the website or myself by message here and it will be dealt with.

i don't think your listening to Old Keeper, he is admitting there are problems and is asking for help.

the only way people can help is by going to the committee and naming names or sending an email to him or expressing your views at the AGM.

in fairness the website is pretty good and any complaints made here have tried to be addressed so just bitching here is just what the LDMC has been about for years so give them a chance help to try and improve you are obviously interested or just bored at work :D

thats the way I am reading it also - i cannot believe this to be true - whatever gripe we may have with the ldmc I am disgusted with what they are being accused of. I am ignorant of events but surely there is a valid explanation as to where the medals have gone.

the are missing for the last couple of months and pike were told not 2worry the will be found they were told thursday night the were not and they will be replaced and have them friday for there awards night. they were not the ordinary medals people get every year the family got them made at a cost for a once off memory and ldmc are being sued end of story this is fact enough said

my uncle is involved with pike council member came to their meeting last night with medals for them but they were cheap ones not the ones the mullaly family got made ldmc said sorry but they dont know how they got lost from the offices mullally family goin spare and rightly so they are getting the police involved ps another twist pike chairman when got the medals off family earlier in the season wanted to hold onto them for safe keeping and the ldmc refused old keeper nows more than hes letting on:mad:
