View Full Version : Bus To Derry
Hi All
I am looking for numbers if you are looking to go on this. I know that sweden is next week so I am looking for numbers for this before you go on you european tour. If there is 52 of us that wants to go on this then the bus will cost €55.00. That's if there is 52 of us going on the bus. If it is a small bus like a 24 seater bus then it will come down to at lest €40.00 and this is just for the bus.
I am looking in to the hotels at the moment so I will let you know how much this is going to cost. I say we could be looking at €100.00 each and that is only for the bus and Hotel.
So lads I need to get names by next friday the 12th of August. I will also need a deposit of €30.00 of each of you.

That's not completely true.
There were some other fans there.
I was the only one who cheered when we equalised.
The people around me weren't impressed. :)
And as the story goes, the announcement for the stewards to go to end of match positions was met with "Sure he's hardly going to start a riot!" from a woman sitting close by. Of course the whole place burst into laughter, including myself. :D

Does anyone remember when St Pats were a threat? ;)
I do remember going there on a sunday years ago with Peadar & we were only 2 Cork City fans there. Peadar gave nice tour of the murals & couldn't find anything open for food.
a threat to who???.....just remember we took a point from Derry up there - we could do yous a big favour on friday......ignore the rovers result - half our team was suspended and a new guy was in - I fancy us to get at least a point from Derry yet again

Well time changes I suppose.
K.O. times changed anyway. ;)
Back in those days we used to play them at midday on a Sunday.
Nightmare for anyone travelling up and down from Cork.
ya to right in from night club back out again and on the road for 3.30 just making the match and then back down again and in to the cot but well worth it. Wrecked in work for a day or two after it. The joys of following Football.

How did the trip go in the end? I heard that a few people had gone walk about before the bus was supposed to leave, did everyone get on? How long was the bus back?
