Couldn't find a thread on this guy, currently making big waves at under 18s/23s with Crystal Palace, a first team call up isn't far away by all accounts.
All action left back, dangerous in attack and decent defensively too. Athletic, quick and has good range of passing with a lethal shot too.

Oh no! You've broken the rule about not having a player thread until they make their first-team debut! Mods! Mods!! Ten-year ban surely

Personally, I think he would be a better goalkeeper than Bazanu or Kelleher!

Comes on against Hartelpool in the FA Cup for his senior debut.
Another exciting youngster getting his breakthrough. A left back who has blistering pace!
Viera’s thoughts on giving him a run out

He likes to go forward and has been doing well with the academy. Today was the right time to give him a couple of minutes, and he was close to scoring his first goal.

In a badly needed position from an irish perspective. Best of luck to the lad! Viera doing a good job at palace. Might not be a bad place for some of our other promising youngsters like Knight

I was listening to an interview, he really has no Dublin accent at all. Really weird.

He signed for Palace when he was 12. He's lived in London for his formative years and his family would have Nigerian accents. That Dublin accent would be gone a long time ago. Mipo and Oko-Flex have English accents too, it happens!

This is not specific to Irish lads with Nigerian backgrounds. Ever hear Aaron Connolly?

Ryan Manning too. Their accent seems to wash off these Galway lads. Quick rinse & they're Londoners.

Ronan Curtis went the other way, strangely. Never lost his accent despite moving to Donegal at age 10.

And grew up in a house with a mother who's accent would put James McClean to shame.

It will be interesting to see if he can adapt to the Championship quickly. I think he can and it is different to, say, Parrott to Millwall that time given the position. He will be close to the Ireland squad if he does well I think. I am not very sure about Bagan, personally, and Manning doesn't seem to have the pace for left wing back.

Yes, I think Adaramola is one that, if he has a strong few months in the Championship, could almost skip the Under 21s beyond the one appearance he has already made, similar to Omobamidele.
There's space in the squad for an up and coming left wing back and either him or Bagan look likely to get the spot. Longer term we'll probably see both in the senior squad because I don't see too much else coming through in the position.
Joins Coventry on loan for the season.

Great move for an 18-year-old with little first-team experience.
Indeed almost all Irish moves this summer have benefitted us. Good to see.

Agree it’s been a really positive summer on the transfer side for us. Only disappointments thus far are Knight and of course Kelleher which was expected A few more youngsters will need to get out on loan but that should come over the next few weeks

Probably McGrath and Ronan too; not clear at all they'll get first-team action where they are. Though if they do, it'll be a plus on last season
Can add Conor Coventry to that list too.

No league action since his loan move despite being apparently heavily courted by championship clubs. Bidwell continuing to start ahead of him and he has not made bench for league game. Aimed too high for initial loan move?

To be fair Coventry have had a lot of games postponed. But apparently he didn't impress in the EFL Cup game he played in.

"Tayo Adaramola has been recalled from his loan spell at Coventry City. Tayo will resume training with the club’s first-team and under-21 squads." (Crystal Palace website)
Tayo played 61 minutes for Coventry in their 1-4 loss to Bristol City in the EFL Cup, but was not included in any of the Championship squads. Palace manger Viera commented; "“He wasn’t getting the first-team games and we called him back. It will be better for him to be with us, training around the first team and giving us options on that left-hand side. He [will provide] competition, but I believe every experience is a good experience. It will be important for him to learn and to try to understand why it didn’t work over there and to keep pushing on what he is missing to make the next step. .... We believe in him and will keep working with him.” (londonnewsonline.co.uk)

He features strongly in the 6th episode of the crystal palace academy documentary on channel 4. Heartwarming to see his progress to a pro contract allowed him and his family afford to rent in a better part of London that had less crime and drugs

Well Crosby, if his loan hadn't ended early and badly there might be a smidge more buzz flying around y'know.

Vieira said recently that Adaramola had struggled to deal with how the Coventry loan had gone and they were trying to help him work through that. Hopefully he can get another loan soon to kick start his career again because we badly need someone to emerge in that position. He had looked decent in the couple of outings he got for Palace and there were a queue of clubs after him last summer.

It's a shame his loan didn't work out, bit of a wasted season for him really. Should have probably gone to League 1 in hindsight, the Championship was too much too soon for him.

Any word on how this guy is doing in pre-season? Crystal Palace are heavily linked with a loan move for left-back Lewis Hall of Chelsea.

Similarly to Killian Phillips, Tayo didn't travel as part of the first team squad on their pre-season tour. Jake O'Brien was the only Irish player that made the cut.
The failed Coventry loan seemed to really set him back. They looked at him for a couple of weeks this time last year, decided he was nowhere near Championship standard and sent him back to Palace. It seemed to knock him off his stride a bit and he hasn't played much if any senior football since.
He could really do with finding a club for this season, even if it's down in League 2 or wherever, to try and get back on track.

Not quite, Palace called him back because Coventry had cancelled some of their early season fixtures, and he wasn't playing enough football

Fair point, they called him back rather than him being sent back, but it wasn't really because of the cancellations, he just wasn't making match day squads even when they were playing. These were Vieira's comments at the time:
"He wasn’t getting the first-team games and we called him back. It will be better for him to be with us, training around the first team and giving us options on that left-hand side.
“He [will provide] competition, but I believe every experience is a good experience.
“It will be important for him to learn and to try to understand why it didn’t work over there and to keep pushing on what he is missing to make the next step.
“It’s our responsibility to keep working with him and make him get his confidence back and believe in himself to try and push him. We believe in him and will keep working with him.”

Yeah, it'd make no sense to call him back because some games were cancelled. They were made up in the end, and there were still more games available than he did play.
It does seem he just wasn't rated

Gone on loan within the Eagle Holdings group to R.W.D. Molenbeek. If it goes as well as Jake O'Brien's stint there, he could be challenging Tagliafico for his place at Lyon next season! https://www.extratime.com/articles/32704/tayo-adaramola-has-joined-rwd-molenbeek-on-loan/

Given our dearth of left back options and how highly rated he is he should maybe play in these friendlies coming up whether he gets playing time or not.

So highly rated that he couldn't get a game at Coventry and has now gone on loan to a newly-promoted Belgian side?
Hasn't played a single senior game at the age of 20. Not writing him off obviously, but I wouldn't be throwing him in either, even given our issues at left-back.

He's not even the first choice left back for the U21s and you want to give him a senior call-up because he got a loan to a lower Belgian side?
