Tonights match will be a toughie. They are a very good side having scored 46 goals in the league alone and althought non league have beaten everyone bar one (Bangor Celtic) in Dublin / Ireland at that level. I think the defense is a bit suspect though as they have let in 34 which would seem quiet high for 26 games.....Cmon the Rams!!!

LSL Major Sat P W D L F A +/- Pts
Bangor Celtic 26 17 2 7 59 30 29 53
Wayside Celtic 26 14 7 5 46 34 12 49

They are a big physical side, if they get one they will shut up shop and be very difficult to break down. They don't play a whole lot of football and are very good on set pieces. Rockmount didn't play well in either final, but maybe that's cos Wayside disrupted the silky skills of the Mount. Rams should have far too much quality.

I think my observation here is more appropriate. Spot on I think I got it. Well done Wayside.

ramblers were very very poor last night. Mucca was the only player who showed any determination at all, the rest of them looked like they didn't want to be there

Agree with ye there Eanna but as Eddie said there will be ups and downs over the season with this result possibly being the lowest point for us.

You have to ask the question as to who was more dissappointed, us or the team ....I will bet that the team and management will feel this as much if not more then we do.......Personally I think we lacked a hatchet man....not a fabulous player but a guy around 30-35 who would have steadied everyone around him ...and who would have stopped them in their tracks in midfield...
If we have a team of 11 Players then we will get nowhere but if we have a team of 9 or 10 good players with one or two cute boys then we will be better for it in the long run.

The closest we have to that for experience is Cliffy who ....although not as described above would have steadied us but unfortunately was out last night.....

Well done Wayside. Great win. There goes your summer break. Overall great weekend for LSL, with Malahide holding Sligo in the showgrounds 1-1.
