Any decent sites for picking up cheap jerseys?
I'm sure there is, but that would be illegal.

Thought the kit looked decent in the flesh. We’ve definitely had worse over the years.

Not sure about the massive names printed on the back like it was US Cup ‘92
But yah looked decent

Indifferent to it, after seeing it in the flesh tonight. Although, shade of green is akin to the 2002 world cup kit, which is a big positive for me.

For the sake of the site here, please don't post any such links on the forum.
Now, if someone were to back-channel that information somehow, that'd be a shame.

Orange trim on jersey and gold trim on socks is very disappointing

i really can't imagine there's much market for it. Liverpool's 'elite' home jersey is €140 in lifestyle, whereas the regular is €90 - and currently on sale at €90 and €55 respectively. I suppose in the long run, if the production costs are only marginally higher it still makes sense cause they'll eventually sell when on sale on they'll still sell at a higher price than the regular jersey would have
Even at €90 for a regular kit, given labour costs of €1.50/hour, where's the rest of the cost coming from?

thought it looked more like a Northern Ireland jersey seeing it on the players, maybe it's the tone of green

Yes. The north have traditionally had vertical stripes more so than us.
I felt the same way about our EURO 2012 jersey which was awful.
I like the simplicity of this kit but would rather orange stripes than gold (what does gold represent anyway?? people getting the colours of our flag wrong maybe? I know in the past, some religious types favoured green, white and gold because 'white and gold' is the papal colours.)

And because the lads who wrote come-all-yes back in the day found it wondrous hard to rhyme anything with orange.

Away kit announced. Much better effort than the home strip tbf.

I think it's a horrid effort to be honest.
Appreciate that it might appeal to Celtic heads (whether of Glasgow or Donegall persuasion ;-) ) but I just don't find the appeal of the jersey.

The position of the top horizontal pinstripe in relation to the collar seems to vary, presumably depending on the size of shirt.
Of the models in the video it look better on the 2 women. For the men it's above the collar and looks a bit weird.

Reports today that, following complaints from fans about the quality of jerseys, issues with orders, and customer service, Newcastle have ended their contract with Castore early and Adidas will supply their kit from next season

Aston Villa players were complaining about the kit and the I think the women's team have complained too. Whatever cheap material Castore use seems to make the jersey a sweat box to wear for the players.

Living in the north I know quite a few Rangers fans. They've been complaining about the quality of this Castore crap for years. I would say it's yellow pack standard, but that's maybe a bit unfair.
Some yellow pack stuff was ok.
Newcastle are binning Castore and reports that Villa are set to bin them early too.

I'd say Villa are in a strong position to rip up the contract now and tog out in Adidas or Nike gear at the weekend. They'll be a lot more attractive option to the big boys now than they were the deal with Castore was signed.

I was home for the 1st time in a few years recently so it was the 1st time I had seen the Castore stuff in person in the shops and I have to say its by far and away the worst we've ever had. The quality was crap but it was also just so unimaginative. The jackets and hoodies were all just this plain, dark shade of green and the new crest just looked like a sticker thrown on. None of the merchandise was worth buying at all and I ended up getting a rugby hoodie/jacket that was similarly priced but far nicer and better quality.
Does anyone know how it works from a finance point of view for the FAI? Do they just get an up front lump sum or do they also get a percentage of sales? Because for an association strapped of cash they are going to make fcuk all from any merchandise sales based on what I seen.

It reminds me of something I'd see on Lucky Charms cereal boxes growing up in Canada.

Having crap kits for the last few years made it easy for Castore to swoop in.
I actually like our jersey and think it’s the best we’ve had since Euro 2016.
Don’t know about quality though as I’m not forking out €100 for a jersey

All our tops look like training tops with the giant sponsor inexplicably plastered across the front.
3rd kits in international football is pure greed anyway. We're so skint we rarely play friendlies away from Dublin so we play like 3 away games total a year and how many of them warrant a clash in the first place? We clash with blue and green teams only. Also and here's the kicker, all the teams in the Nations League we're up against wear white at home. So we don't technically even need an alternative kit this cycle.
Not to mention that it's the exact same colour as our away kit so is funtionally pointless. This will get a solitary run out in a quarter full Aviva in a friendly, just like the equally pointless black kit. That'll be €100 please. Just pure tinpot greed from the FAI and the equally tinpot Castore as usual.
Paste on a non-sensical reference to Giants stadium (which we were wearing our home green kit for) and it makes it the perfect storm of the FAI/Castore.
