It's awful. We keep going for darker and darker green and I've no idea why.
Yeah. O'Neills call that colour "Green Shadow".
We are the boys in green shadow....nah, doesn't work for me.
It's like Spinal Tap.
The question seems to be: could it be less green? And the answer is no, none less green.

Parts of it are nice. Don’t like the pinstripe and the two different shades.
Your move Castore!

Confirmation on the new logo, which is similar to some of the mock ups going around online, but much better

I think it’s simple and easy on the eye.
The ‘ireland football’ name change is a bit weird and just sounds gramatically wrong

I don't like the shamrock being tilted. Straighten it up and it would look far better.

The Ireland Football bit is completely unnecessary and really takes away from it.
The bit in the middle (the shamrock and the orange outline with the tricolour detail) would have looked far better on its own.

It’s literally taken from England’s social media tags being “englandfootball” as their general one and “England” for the men’s team

Oh I think the colour is a bit off, it'd look better in a viridian green. Our boys would look fabulous in awning stripes on our chiffon fabric shirts. But we must do something about those horrendous stockings!

Always thought the @england being just for the football team was stupid, most other country accounts are for the country itself.
The @ireland account is given to a new person every week to talk about life in Ireland, a friend of mine was given it for book week a few years ago

After a day looking at it I think they got close to something really nice. I made a couple of changes to it and I think I really like it with the changes.
I took the whole Ireland football bit away
Rotated the whole thing 45 degrees clockwise
Changed the shade of green they used for something darker

In that format it looks like an updated version of the Italia '90 one, which can be no bad thing.

It’s a shame how much re-hashing there has been of previous designs.
I’d love to see something truly original

It’s the last really good crest we’ve had. Th is one is nice but it’s a re-hash.
Just like those pathetic away jerseys a couple of years ago with the boomerangs in them.
That’s blatant rip-off territory.
I don’t expect Castore to shake things up. Most of their jerseys are very basic designs

I can't agree with this. The most recent one was an original design and has been hated by almost* everybody since day one.
* Apart from the Israeli FA who obviously thought it was a banger

I don't like it. I absolutely do not like it. Why couldn't they put the jersey in the same colour green as the crest? how f'king hard would that have been? There's possible 3 different greens on that jersey and it p'sses me off.

I think it's fine. But then, I honestly don't really care about the merchandise, I never buy it anyway unless something really jumps out at me as being particularly nice, which this doesn't. But it's fine, we've had much worse.

The socks look like something Darby O'Gill would wear
I dont know what to make of it to be honest. There are bits I like (the "pin stripes" are a nice retro throwback and in one of the shots on the video there is a nice detail in the panel design) but overall it looks a bit shabby and shapeless. The different colour green of the sleeves throw me off a bit too. The shamrock on the socks looks a bit comic-y too and i think the sock collar could be white instead of solid green. Not diabolical but barely a 6/10.

Back to my point about the re-hashed kits though, it’s an ‘homage’ to the jersey Paul McGrath made his debut in, according to the blurb.
I’d love just an original and unique jersey. A good one (last one was gank).
The last classy jersey we had was 2016

That part about the homage to Paul McGrath is BS of the highest order, were they giving homage to McGrath with the Rangers identical kit too?

Why couldn't they have continued the pin stripes onto the back as well?
I laughed unnecessarily hard when I read the Lifestyle Sports blurb about mcGrath last night.
Even the coloured trim ****es me off - why orange and green? Why not go whole hog and put green trim, white trim, orange trim and repeat on the collar?

Wonder how much do they cost to make?
Didn't the English FA get caught that they were paying workers in Thailand £1.50 an hour to make them?
That was a reasonable working wage in Thailand, but there's a long way to go then to bring the cost up to a hundred quid. Design/materials can hardly be that much for something so mass produced?

i really can't imagine there's much market for it. Liverpool's 'elite' home jersey is €140 in lifestyle, whereas the regular is €90 - and currently on sale at €90 and €55 respectively. I suppose in the long run, if the production costs are only marginally higher it still makes sense cause they'll eventually sell when on sale on they'll still sell at a higher price than the regular jersey would have

They'll be selling identical copies on the Chinese and Thai websites by next week. They'll be sending them half way round the world by airmail and they'll still be making money at $15.
