Dig your head in the sand if you want and pretend you don't have a problem and hope it'll just go away.
you have spectacularly managed to miss the point.
when we act the ******, we take it on the chin. did any rovers fan deny those buses got smashed up 2 seasons ago? or the shed getting taken etc.?
no. because, despite some media hysterics and exaggeration, rovers fans were involved. we do have a more, ahem, militant, set of fans than anyone else in ireland, and have been involved in some silliness.
so why would we be going so ape over what seemed to not even be a schmozzle?
because this is a malicious attempt by ollie byrne to damage the club when we are vunerable. that is despicible, and legal action is a definite possibility. he made a kn.ob of himself and a laughing stock of your club.
but stick to that party line, it might get you some free smokes

No Shels fans clashed with Linfield fans.
But didn't someone see Shels fans after they clashed with them ??
The Shels fans said it themselves to the on-looker !!
Were they making it up ?? ..... I mean whats up with that like ??

I think you're reading too much into it, it was an attempt by him to stop the media reports that it was Shels fans involved. He didn't have to mention that it was Rovers fans and definitely didn't come out of it looking too well, he shouldn't have said what he said but you're reading too much into it.

If that's true than fair enough but nothing I've read has said that Shels fans were involved in any trouble even on the Linfield forum.

If that's true than fair enough
Thats settled then !! ;) :p
We have received numerous reports from many of our supporters who witnessed these attacks on the Linfield fans, by thugs wearing the green & white hooped shirts of Shamrock Rovers or Scottish club Celtic FC.
Does this mean they had Celtiic OR Rovers jerseys?
You cannot make comments like that casting dirt in direction of a certain clubs without ever suggesting have any proof. Thats just like saying saw a person in red football jersey in fight on Richmond Road.
Shelbourne are a disgrace to the league. Once again fans backing Oily 100% without hint of criticism.

Ah, so what your saying is that this time, it wasn't Rovers fans? :)
Mind you, SRFC said it was a minority that took the shed at the time. As Father Crilly once said "Only 5% of priests have been found guilty of child molesting". lmao
The funny issue about all of this is that nobody seems to be addressing the issue that Ollie Byrne may well actually have this evidence he speaks about; ie the chance that heaven forbid, it could well be so. If say John Phelan or Finbar Flood had have stated it on Newstalk and not Ollie, would there be any uproar? Somehow I doubt it.
BTW I never said Eanna heard the show, he did howevercomment on the show without hearing it's content though which was my point. Just to clarify that point.

NO advocating any violence by any stretch of the imagination, but why SHels fans would want to be seen 'welcoming' the blues 'fans' and watching the English FA Cup final is beyond me..
they were deathly silent during the game.. and even when the linfield 'fans' were shouting their bigoted ****e and making noises at Ndo they said nothing at all and sat on their ****ing hands..
an embarrassment to the eL...

No Shels fans clashed with Linfield fans.
What about the group of fans that were boasting they'd won a scrap to Cosmo - two of them were wearing Shels tops...
Suppose that was them bad Rovers fans in disguise

Whats he waiting for to produce this evidence? He's getting hammered about what he says and he still won't produce this mystical evidence - or is he still working on it?

'If that's true than fair enough but nothing I've read has said that Shels fans were involved in any trouble even on the Linfield forum.'
It's 100% true. I wasn't going to bring it up until I saw the shels were blaming it ALL on rovers/ Celtic and saying that NO shels supporters were involved in anything. Actually if he had've just said that no shels supporters were involved and kept rovers out of it I'd never have mentioned it as I think rovers supporters are getting a very raw deal here.
I don't like bringing up handbags stuff that doesn't deserve any attention but I wanted to point that it is incorrect to say that there were no incidents involving shels supporters (even though it was only 2) and it was only rovers fans involved!!
(btw that group that were in the drumcondra end that people were talking about - I was sitting maybe 10 seats from them and I only saw ONE lad with a rovers jersey on - the rest were celtic or no team colours)

The statement from the Shelbourne supporters is beneath contempt. Ollie Byrne has proved once more what a pathetic individual he is. He is a loudmouth thug who will go to any lengths to get his way.
The fact that national newspapers would print his outburst without questioning it is a sad reflection on the Irish media. Gerry McDermott should be ashamed.
Ollie Byrne is attempting to have us thrown out of senior football and is using our club as a scapegoat when trouble flared. (Of course, all his outburst did was get huge media coverage about fighting at Irish games, coverage which wouldn't have happened without his ludicrious comments because there was actually bugger all of a fight. Nice one Ollie, yet again you have the interests of Irish football at heart.)
As for the Shels supporters, that statement was just pathetic. Not even worth commenting on.
I just hope supporters of all other EL clubs look back on this sort of behaviour when Shels come to play in Europe. With any luck Shels will be dumped out in the first round, thus inflicting terminal financial damage on a club who have yet to explain how they are making up a deficit of at least 20k a week.

We've all addressed the issue of evidence except for Ollie and his little lapdogs AKA Shels fans. When Dave Carpenter went to the trouble of getting this evidence he was slagged off by Ollie's lapdogs.
We're still waiting for Ollie and his evidence - according to one of our lads when he rang Shels Ollie said he knew the individuals involved, it was the same people who started the fire at the cup final. The world and his mother knows that fire was started by a steward's carelessly disgarded fag butt.
Ollie is talking rubbish and libellous rubbish at that. It's time you kids woke up to him and started thinking and talking for yourselves. The lack of a fan culture at Shels is one of the main reasons the rest of us are laughing at you and until you stop doing Ollie's work for him we won't take you seriously.

Actually i love the way there are pages of posts of eL fans all slagging each other when the majortiy of the blame should go directly on Sell-Thick fans .... the foreign Sell-Thick supporters clubs that are based in Dublin should be made answer for this ... it is them who are obviously organising all of this trouble !!
Ollie was wrong .... but any smoke that was there (if any) should all directly go back to Sell-Thick fans ..... they always cause any trouble so why shouldn't they be ones being demonised !!

Jeez, I switch off for a couple of days & miss everything. I was at the match, heard lots of taunts from the blue side - answered by the red end; but saw no violence.
So, what happened???
Were there 6-8 guys (in mainly hooped tops) turfed out of the singing stand?
(because I saw (what i thought was) those guys heading back towards the richmond road after the match & wondered what they were up to. - thats me putting 2&2 together - i couldnt pick any of them out of a line up).

There were guys in hooped jerseys at Cork City v Portadown too. Damn rovers fans travelling throughout the country just to cause troubel.
Any sign of this evidence from the discriminated against ones?
