I think we all agree that some sort of infrastructure plan is needed with a realistic timeline. However I don’t think there will be any significant push from fans. Yes there will be chatter among the supporters but I don’t think there is any real appetite to form a decent fan lobby group, but as for revolt, there is zero chance of this.

I seen a few of the posts from a few of the local Dundalk journalists on twitter that there is no player of the year awards from the club. Is that still the case? If thats true thats awful form.

Very poor form but who cares really bar the hard-core who feel a connection with the players.
Costs nothing to do as bar receipts would cover the event, hard to figure tbh

Traditionally PoTY night was organised by the Supporters Club and then DFC Trust. Now that both have been both absorbed in to the club or are simply inactive, that void hasnt been filled in organising such events. The end of season function was a significant fundraiser especially when struggling to make ends meet in the 1st Division years. I really do think that a Supporters Club/Trust should currently be making hay while the sun shines - we may rue the opportunity not to do so!
