Hall lost 1 0 to Avondale, Hall were poor Avondale had too much power and played at a high tempo, Halls cause was not helped when Dec O Connell saw red for mouthing to the linesman in the second half.

Wanderers 0-4 Everton

A Bitterly Cold day actually Arctic Cold day and the dissappointment of the estimated 30,000 fans seeing the irreplaceable Val Keenan on the bench were just some of the factors which saw Wanderers lose at the hands of Everton!

Hmmmm.... Avondale deservedly scored to take the lead in the first half. 'Hall picked up the tempo in the second period, laying seige, but, Brendan O'Connell made two particularly good saves to deny Mooresy and Seamus Long.
Red card had no influence on the result

Broken Ankle, prob out for the season. In good enough form , fairly philosophical over it. Caught his foot in the ground jogging during training, right disaster.

Has Alan O Connor signed back for Rockmount? David Spratt for Avondale suffered a broken cheek bone against Dougals Hall. will be out for the rest of the season. From what i heard he went up for a header with Seamus Long and was caught with an elbow and the free went to douglas Hall??????

Rumour has it on the City forum that Doolin is watching some players in the MSL (http://www.ccfcforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=29618)
That Johnny C is helping him, interesting.

It would be good to see MSL players get the chance to play EL. Surely Ken Howey is good enough and deserves a chance if he is willing to play. Also Seamus Long has been douglas Halls best player for a long time. Saw him against Cobh Ramblers a season back and was brilliant in centre back. Looked like a seasoned pro.

Hoey is defentily good enough the man is comfortable Left Right and in the centre. Shammy and deccie from Douglas Hall. Whats the odds of Tommy Hughes heading out he after playing with everyone else in Muster and Kilkenny too:p

Ballincollig 0 v 1 Rockmount

Earliest goal ever, about 10 seconds into game. Ross O Callaghan scored. Left their back four for dead!! Whistle from other pitch seemed to distract the BC back four for some reason.

Marys 2 Avondale 3. Both teams played great football. Avondale had the better first with some great chances. Marys deserved at least a draw for their performance in the second half. Pitch was completely ruined. Found it strange they played the game. Two very good teams

Yes - he'll be a big loss, but more luck to him, we'll all be hoping that Waterford really works out for him.

He's a smashing fella and has always given terrific commitment to every 'Hall team he played with.

Best of luck, Shammy :):)

I was looking at the MSL tables this morning and I see that CIT are bottom of the senior 2nd div with no points and 2 goals after 7 games. This record is only beaten by their junior team who have lost all of their 8 opening games.

How the MSL in their wisdom chose to give senior status to this, lets call a spade a spade, RUBBISH, I do not know.

Longer standing AUL clubs in Cork such as Leeside, Kinsale and Coachford have had their applications turned down year after year and would beat CIT by a criket score (as most teams do anyway). Lets face it CIT are not even good enough to play in the top AUL divisions.

The lowering of playing standards in the MSL for the sake of keeping up appearances does the league no favours.

Senior teams should be better than junior teams - if they're not ... they should be replaced. Simple!

Any comments on this taboo subject? ;)

Youghal 12 CIT 2. This is a joke!

I was at the Corinthians game at the weekend and it was a joke,
Corinthians were well in control of the game, had a few new signings playing and looked very good.
they were one up and a young guy put in a tackle and ringmahon reacted badly and ran 30 yards and punched him in the back of the head.
All 22 players ran in and were trying to calm people down andf then one of the young lads from Cors fell over and got stamped in the head, I know it sounds a bit biast but thats what happened.
Ringmahon players should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!

they are a disgrace to the league and themselves. this all stems from their manager who is the worst bad loser ever! hope they get whats coming to them.

I did hear that the ref was a tad hasty in calling the game off.
After it all calmed down I think both teams were willing to play on but maybe the ref decided that things had gone too far at that point.

One for the disciplinary committee.
