Considering the upcoming World Cup, Man City, and new Newcastle owners the accusations of 'financing of environmental crimes, price fixing, deforestation, forced evictions, human rights abuses, child labour, slavery, gender discrimination and murder' are not off the wall for football investors. Joe Dixon on the other hand seems a tad off the wall regardless on whether his specific accusations have substance or not. Beyond Staines Town, how about Levski Sofia efforts. By 3.15mins in the vid below, the old nugget of the business model mentioned is new stadium and retail units. Its actually an amusing watch in context of all the proposals for LoI over the years. He might even trump Bill Hulsizer.

Great story. I might actually go and watch them against Crusaders after reading that.
