In their attempt to retain the trophy, North End have signed ex-Wexford players Craig McCabe and Patsy Malone, ex-Waterford and Wexford Philip "Drukie" Drohan and the ageless Gary Dempsey. In local terms at least, they look horrendously strong this year.

Have North End dominated the Wexford League in recent seasons or have they had competition?

Won the league very comfortably last season and, subject to correction, think they have five in a row at this stage. Very hard to see anyone else in Wexford getting within touching distance of them this season.

Just seemed to be a lot of hype and excitement about them this year after storming it last year, it's obviously hugely disappointing for them to go out before the out of town stage but that's the beauty of the cup.
It's nice to see a new champion will be crowned anyway.

I have zero reason to begrudge or dislike North End.
