Wins for Balla, Regional, Nenagh, Pike and surprisingly Fairview considering the talk about their demise around town lately.

Big game already for Carew this Saturday.

Poor start for Aisling, couldn’t beat the promoted side. Prospect will be delighted with a draw away from home. Geraldines hammered by Janesboro. Fairview and Balla won again.

Puts AA under a bit of pressure not having played an opening game, great result for prospect and Derek braddish, carew park are struggling

Yeah delighted for Derek and Daithi after the way Boro shafted both of them, hopefully they can have a good season, massive game for them next against the dines
Carew park look in serious demise, anyone got there starting team against Pike?
View and balla have hit the ground running
Some big games next werk between the top and bottom sides

Some boggling scorelines in this round of games, whats going on at Carew park??Losing is one thing ,losing by 6 to Pike your rivals is another thing.Dines put it up to Pike during the week but then get hammered by Janesboro and Clarke up and running with 3,great result for Prospect keeping keeping a clean sheet against a fancied new look Aisling ,however to suggest they are under pressure after one game is insane.Super start for the View.

Treaty Gooner
20/08/2018, 3:34 PM
Under pressure at this early stage is stupid alright. Important to hit the ground running at the same time. Good battles to come with so many teams on maximum points so far.

Can’t see it happening any time soon but stranger things have happened. Some statement by Fairview today signing AJ O’Connor. To be fair they’ve pulled it out of the fire. Last year was a disaster.

Very good player and a very good start to the season, it would be great to see them win Something.

Prospect Priory 0-4 Geraldines

Another defeat for Carew,3 matchs in ,no points, players on the move,Deadly Mans assertion of a club in demise certainly bears recognition,Prospects defeat in that massive game to Geraldines is a big blow to them but not a complete disaster as it is early in the season ,it can in turn though give a picture as to the managerial abilities of Derek and Daithi as referenced by DM .Pike in brilliant form with their new signings gelling well. The fairgreen is all a buzz again ,unbeaten and more signings on the way.

Prospect v Carew park abandoned after 35 mins,Carew had 2 sent off,ref was 'supposedly' threatened from what i heard,a few more bodies leaving Carew also, doesn't bode well for Albert and his troops,Ger Ned started up top for them today

26/08/2018, 2:49 PM
Good result for the View ,pike made most of the running but Fairgreen boys deserved their point.Thought Neville should have dealt the header that levelled the match.New lads did well for the View however if there is a better player than Pikes Mcgann around i,ve yet to see him.Another walkover in the league...disgraceful and obviously abandoned games a huge problem with once again a familar club involved, hopefully the punishment will be what is warrented and severe ,its always everyone elses fault is,n it?

Treaty Gooner
26/08/2018, 4:12 PM
Was there a reason given for the walkover or did they just not fancy getting battered again?

That's no excuse for giving a walkover, its more than the top two teams that are beating Charlaville.

Kennycon
27/08/2018, 10:23 AM
Fairview have turned their policies around and it has worked out for the best, it would be great to see them push the top two, pitch looked awful.

Sure didn’t the council ring certain clubs at the back end of last season sayin they wouldn’t have to furfill all fixtures because their was nothing to play for ?? And now people are having a go at charleville , fair play to them and many more teams will be doing the same ......league is full of clowns who couldn’t make it a higher level dropping to junior and beliveing they are top players and managers and idiot clubs are falling for their guff and throwing coin around .......limerick junior soccer is destroyed

Treaty Gooner
27/08/2018, 7:39 PM
I have of course but I reckon Charleville didn’t want their holes handed to them again so they didn’t show up. Only team that had gone and signed a Charleville player in the off season was Regional was it? They bottled it.

Fairkop
27/08/2018, 7:45 PM
Praising clubs for giving walkovers is also a sad reflection of where junior soccer opinion is at ,even if it is only an opinion. There have always been dominent clubs, take the great Fairviews teams of the past for instance, they often hammered teams but i dont remember teams packing their bags and giving up and that team was stacked with players from everywhere.....people and clubs are blaming refs, the council, money, other clubs......clubs should get their own house in order and take some responsability and stop the constant moaning. What Charleville did was unacceptable, what happened in Cals park was also wrong and a disgrace.Ya of course the council etc need to step up but the bottom line is the clubs need to buck up.

Ah lads what’s with all the drama, very melodramatic.
There was a period in the late 80’s and through the 90’s when Fairview won 12 or 13 leagues in a 15 year period, did clubs say ‘ah here Fairview ye can have it’ no they didn’t, they got on with it. Anytime something goes wrong in a club these days it’s ‘ oh it’s Pikes fault’ or ‘It’s the LDMC’s fault’ or ‘that’s them Boro ***** again’. Maybe when clubs give walkovers or get a match abandoned(again) they should look at themselves and get their own house in order instead of blaming everyone else, a bit of personal responsibility wouldn’t go a miss.

Fairview Rangers 1-3 Janesboro.
Shane Clarke on 5',
Ross Mann on 40',
Thomas Clarke on 65',
Adrian Power on 67'.

Decent game in Fairgreen. Not a whole pile of chances in the game but Boro carved out the most and made use of them.
Fairview very flat in the first half, Barry Ryan and John Mulready both excellent in goal despite the scoreline. AJ O'Connor must be at home wondering how he didn't score, fired 2-3 shots at Mulready that were matched excellently. AJ was the best player on the pitch; brilliant on the ball and made great chances.
Lapses in concentration cost Fairview, Barry Ryan did keep them in it though and it's so clear watching him that he just knows what to do and when to do it.

One thing I will say: This Fairview team is a hell of a lot better than the one that beat Moyross 6-1 in Jackman a few months back.
