you are right though about them being unlucky, i watched a few matches there and they lost them all.

The pub that was or is the Moy down the road claimed to be showing Longford in the Cup final but we turned up and they never did. So im not wanting to take the same chance - Not gonna risk missing the game.

Pat O'Banton - "The lovely Mrs O' Banton's town! Does O' Leary's show Ireland games?"

Is your lady from Stoke ? If you mean O'Learys in Stoke town centre It's only an Irish pub in name only.

Sorry not back to you before but uber busy. Yes she is, not far from Stoke town centre itself, sometimes pop into O' Leary's on the way back from the Britainia.
Where is there to watch Ireland games or indeed the GAA in Stoke?

Glad to hear your lady is a Stoke fan.
I dont no if there is any where in Stoke to watch GAA matches and there wont be many places that show Ireland footy matches. The problem is Ireland are normally playing the same time as England(football),so of course England get preference. The only places that might show it are the Irish clubs,I think there is one in North Street,Stoke.
There is a chance that the Ireland footy match this Saturday, will be on in some pubs in Stoke or Newcastle.Due to England kicking off at 15:00 and Ireland at 17:50,do you live in Stoke ?

Nah half time in Landaaaan and half time up around Manchester (which is where I will be catching the Isreal game on Saturday, but have had to miss games before, but have had to miss watching and Fermanagh and Donegal (the folks parts of the world) in various big GAA matches before due to visiting the in laws.

There's no way you can get RTE on Sky without shelling out for one of their expensive subscriptions. It's a disgrace. In the UK the national broadcasters are available on satellite for a 20 quid once-off payment. But RTE has sold their soul to Murdoch.

According to that site with all the numbers in the URL the match will be on Channel Five.

Where in Manchester will be showing the game??

I'll probably watch it at home because of the amount of scum that will be about the streets that day between Norn Iron & Engurlund mongs wanting to kick the sh*te out of each other.

I'm getting outta there and heading to meet a mate in Preston to watch the match. Anyway O' Shea's in town should be showing the match as well as Hennigans in Levenshulme. As the match is on Channel 5 there's a couple of other Irish spots in Levenshulme that should have the match on.

Every Irish pub in Manchester will be showing it particularly as it doesn't clash with the England game and its on C5.

Irish centres in Cheetham Hill or Chorlton will have it. O'sheas in the city centre as Pat O says. Personally I'd head for County Levenshulme they will all have it on, probably The Fiddlers on Stockport Road.

Is Levenshulme a fairly Irish area in manc so? I have a friend from fermanagh who just moved in there.

i'm living in Altrincham at the moment, not much Irish there i'm afraid, cept Keano isn't too far away in Hale. There used to be a Kellys Bar, but its been closed down since I've been there!
