Come on dundalk. I don't want us to win the league while I'm at home having the dinner you know. Would be such an anti-climax if it happened that way

That could well be exactly how it pans out

Dundalk are likely to be focused on the cup replay the following Tuesday and have little or nothing to play for on Saturday. I suspect that the team selection will be significantly influenced by that game and there could well be up to 6 changes from the team that started against Rovers last Sunday.

Cork are going to win the league either way, but winning it on Saturday evening could well prove the final anti-climatic element in a season where it seemed likely at one stage that they would to go unbeaten and maybe win the title in August.

Nevertheless Cork will be worthy champions when it happens

Just send the 19s, don't be risking injuries on that bog of a pitch!!!

It's been 7 weeks since our last league home game in the Showgrounds. Our last home game was against Pats on August 5th. What a joke.

I heard Ollie is digging trenches and building those traps with pointy sticks in them. Harps squad have been training with shanks all week. Dundalk would be insane to risk anyone they care about in those circumstances.

If you can deliver a few short term injuries on Saturday I promise we will do the business against Sligo :)

Mon Dundalk Reserves/U-19s you should say, and judging on last night Harps will beat us

I will be very happy if we play our reserves/u19's on Saturday. Cork will win the league and our game on Tuesday is far more important. We can't afford any more injuries to central midfield with Shields out and O'Donnell always close to another injury. If Harps win because of that then so be it.

We played Bray on the 15th but it's still ridiculous

Sign of a good manager when you can just keep things going as normal while under pressure.

Dundalk will be struggling badly in MF v Finn Harps, Shields out, Mountney out also, I wouldn't be risking O'Donnell and Conor Clifford is somehow suspended !

I'd be tempted to go with McGrath and Kinsella in the middle and definitely start young Carlton Ubaezuonu too.

I can see Kenny resting at least 6 key players for this one. Harps will have a decent chance of a result.

It's the sort of thing that could sink a lot of clubs. How can you plan ahead to pay wages when there is practically an off-season with no home games during the season.

Of course dundalk will take that moment from us. They did it last Monday, and with Tuesday the priority it seems, it's possible for us to win it in the worst way. Wonder will the players do a Leicester and be all up at Sheppard's gaf watching the match

Bloody Cork wans never happy!!!

'05 didn't mean as much to me as I'd only started going that year and was only a handful of games. So I've been waiting 12 years for this, and who knows when the next one will come. I do, of course, understand Finn harps point of view that 3 points would be massive for them.

Well we knew about it for months so should have budgeted for it. Obviously had other months when we had more home games then normal. I know we probably didn't.

I hear people saying that but in the real world of the LOI it's very difficult for most teams. When you're living hand to mouth it's near impossible, especially when gates are down too. Then there is other things that crop up like the u15s getting to their cup final against Waterford. Surely it would have been sensible to play it in Limerick or Dublin but no the game is held in Waterford and cost Rovers €2k.

For most clubs, budgeting isn't the biggest issue, cash flow is. That long without cash coming in is very hard for any club to deal with.

Thinking of sticking 50 on Dundalk today. The blink will hit them and Harps will get a point from the game. Be the best 50 I spent all weekend.

Nervous about the Bray game. It is a real 50-50. Our high tally of draws and lack of goals for 2/3 of the season is why we're not slightly more comfortable like Bohs (its the same scenario for Sligo), but the last little while there's been a very decent run of performances by and large, but, who knows which Bray outfit will turn out today, the side that lost 2-0 to Elgin City or the one that thrashed Derry asunder 5-0. Half their defeats have been at home this year but they're on really decent unbeaten run also. We could do with at least a point ahead of the Pats game at home next week.

2-2 in Bray. Galway went ahead on '13 through Devaney, Bray quickly equalized though on '16. 1-1 at H/T. Bray scored a from lovely counter attack on '46, but its been all Galway since then. Ronan Murray scores from the spot after what look at first glance like a soft-ish penalty. All Galway now. Nearly as many Galway fans as Bray there. (watching on livescore)

And as I say that Bray get awarded a penalty from a handball. Free kick knocked into the box, hard to tell what exactly happened. 3-2 now. Aaron Greene. Cool as a cucumber, down the middle. :/ Great support from Galway there.

HT panel slating the pitch. It is a state in fairness. Timlin challenge bizarrely over the top. How was he not sent off?

Yeah you're right forget about standards. The panel were 100 % correct it's a disgrace, seems to be a theme in this league a below par synthetic pitch is unacceptable but a grass pitch is acceptable in any state. Until there are fines handed out for it nothing will change.

Correct about Canning though, absolutely awful

Absolutely sick after the Pats game. Last kick of the match and we concede an equaliser. Thought we were the better side and deserved the win. Nothing going right this year.
