Was really sweating on Dundalk in the last few minutes there. Looking forward to Dalymount next week now.
Harps should be fined for that pitch. It was beyond a disgrace. Looked like it had been ploughed.

Bohs self destructing. The joys of having nothing to play for.

This is a goalless draw all day long. What a lovely(not) way it would be to win the league watching this tripe
Rather an unfair comment.
Not easy to play football on a bog but I thought Dundalk just about managed to produce some decent stuff.
Also you've got your wish to seal the title by winning in Dalymount.
Happy days.

Can't get blood from a stone.....
Good win for DunDORK, Canning is a scream, gets loads wrong, 'Great decision by Stephen O'Donnell, with rotating the squad then taking on his captain Stephen ...........O'Donnell, then on about Dlk reserves losing on pens to Shels in the LSC final on Wed night (lost 4-2 AET), anyway its looking grim now for Finn Harps. Pats will prob be still ok even with conceding in the last min.
Amazing really when you consider the huge lead Cork had/have, and might only win it in mid Oct.

It was a poor game, but I'd agree dundalk did play some decent stuff on a very poor surface.
Now hoping we go do it Friday
Not really when you consider the postponements and cup weekends. Been an odd second half of the year. Obviously there have been a few slip ups too, but the schedule has been very odd.

Should have been 4 or 5 up. Could have drawn.
Still pretty perfect set of results for us this weekend with the exception of Bray not winning.
Harps look gone. Wouldn't be putting any money on who else joins them.

Absolutely sick after the Pats game. Last kick of the match and we concede an equaliser. Thought we were the better side and deserved the win. Nothing going right this year.
We were sloppy and hesitant all night.
Taking off Clarke for Crowe was a sign that we were only looking for a point, and once you went ahead I didn't see us getting back into it. That last gasp goal was the first thing we'd created in a while.
Serious game for you next weekend.

Analysis of Saturday's crazy Inchicore six-pointer, from which Shane Duggan's Limerick FC stole a late point: http://bit.ly/2xp57nb

What on earth happened it?
pitch has being an issue for a while. Sligo Rovers game few weeks back when Harps played them was the exact same. Mind you doesnt stop Paddy McCourt scoring class goals though!

Repeated flooding has caused havoc with Harps pitch. The amount of rain falling on it this year has been a disaster. That being said, it was really horrible on Saturday, but the RTE panel focusing on it so much rather than the game is equally embarrassing.
Disappointing result really, despite not expecting anything from the game Dundalk were there for the taking. Had Eddie Dsane not brought two left feet and had scored into the open net it could have been a very different outcome.
It's certainly an uphill battle now. Realistically, we need to get 7 points from 9 now to have any hope. Anything can happen, but wouldn't hold my breath.
Sure I almost started to miss the First Division..

For the record, I was in a bar that had the game on but had no commentary so I did not have the panel talking about the pitch. Can anyone explain why it looked like it had been ploughed?

I think it's safe to assume, given that dundalk were visiting and harps needed the points, that harps simply had someone plough the field.
Occam's razor and all that.
With their new stadium finished any day now it's nice to know fans of premier teams like us won't have to see finn park ever again.

That's a Roddy "I can't be blamed" tactic. He's done that numerous times over the years. Bet he could get a full bench if he needed it.
(I realise I've said 'bet' in another post about Athlone so this may be monitored by UEFA)

Hear there was a wee bit of 'craic' at the Cobh v Waterford match on Saturday.
Anyone hear what the 'craic' was?
