Can understand confusion faceoff!
Last team playing in Cork AUL that won the Cup was St Michael's in 1974. Prior to playing in Cork the club played in Limerick District League and after the formation of the TSDL left Cork in 80s to return to Tipperary. It's an unusual one as we're obviously not from Cork but played for many years in Cork AUL. On leaving Cork the club presented the AUL with a Cup which was named the St Michael's Cup and is still played for today. Hope it makes sense as long time ago.

Totally get what you're saying. For example, Tralee Dynamos are a founding member of the Desmond League.

You wouldn't happen to know the last actual Cork side?

Edit: By the way, that's a seriously interesting tidbit thanks very much.

Shearer I think the record shows Rockville FC 1944/45 as last Cork winners but you can easily check full list of winners and double check.

Been at the sherry faceoff? Good side North End, have as much of a chance as any of the big four or five clubs left in it. Nobody will want Pike or St Michaels, Usher are newcomers to this table for most of the country but have proven how good they are. North End right up there too. Boro won't win it because for me, the players they have don't love the club. They love what the club can do for them.

They won’t win it because they are loyal to 1or 2 who year in year out aren’t good enough at that level.......

In fairness they are not the only club, almost every club are like that now from top to bottom in the premier, but looked to be a realistic target for the boro, I wonder will the management stay?

Thanks for that Saint, yeah I know of the list its just that the county isn't listed beside it so you could be tracking it down forever. I will try my utmost to compile a list by county over Christmas.

Not many teams in the country capable of beating boro in there own back yard, good team they are from what i saw,i give them as a good a chance of any of the teams left in the competition, how many times have you ever seen them play?

North End would be strengthened a lot this year by the return of Gary Delaney and Robin Dempsey from Waterford. Gary Delaney, in particular, is an exceptional player for that level. Unfortunately, all their interesting Cup matches have been away so I haven't seen them yet this year. Bit unlucky to get another away draw in the FAI Junior but hopefully they can progress. Well done to Moyne also to keep the Wexford flag flying in the FAI Junior but they've also been drawn away.

Enough to know they won't win it.Just look what Moyross did to them 2 years ago.And they had a better side then.I'll get back to you when they're beaten.

Very poor altogether. Greencastle were 3-0 up, conceded very late on. Castlefin were also 1-0 up and Cappry are supposed to have missed an awful lot of very good chances.

Knocknaheeny Celtic of Cork will have an outside chance without having any superstar ex LOI players or anything like that.
Very good side, won away from home at the weekend and nobody will want to play them up in knocknaheeny. They`d have a big scalp in them if getting a home draw.

Incorrect but make your excuses about astro anyway . Overhyped side

Usher Celtic,
Pike Rovers,
Newfoundwell,
St. Michael's,
Newmarket Celtic,
Shannon Town/Evergreen,
Mervue United,
Killarney Celtic/North End United.

It's really up for grabs this year, I'd say five or six of the remaining eight could very well win it.

Last I checked (think the odds are down at the moment) Michael's and Pike were joint favourites.

North End have beaten Killarney Celtic. 4-1 to North End I believe. North End stayed in Killarney last night as their coach left Wexford at about 6pm.

Fine win for North End, they were 1-0 down at half time as well. Shannon Town also had a big win against last season's finalists, Evergreen, 7-6 on pens after a 0-0 draw. Agree with Shearer, all 8 remaining will fancy themselves. I believe the quarter final draw will be held on Wednesday.

Thanks, Johnnie C & Deadly. North End do look stronger on paper this year. But it's always difficult to compare junior sides from different regions.

Apparently Newfoundwell fielded a player who had already played in the FAI Intermediate Cup with St. Mochta's, the player in question also scored the equalising goal.

Game is fixed for Pikes home field on April 8th. Bit of a joke imo playing a national semi final on your home ground. It seems the FAI ruling changed to allow this. Tough on Newmarket... added to the loss of home venue vs St Micks in the MJC.
