Having seen it on Soccer Republic I thought it was a bit of a soft penalty. Akinade certainly went down very easily.
He was going down easily all night, he knows what he's doing and it's very frustrating to watch.

Must be very frustrating to watch alright.

Just for a bit of balance, Bohs were the only team to lose to the record-breaking Galway team in 2011 as well.
And we thank them for it

Almost unbelievable post. How many penalties did Maguire, or Seanie 'go down easily' for in his time?
Cork lost a match, get over it and move on.

Thank you. I said it knowing someone would post exactly this in response  Silly foul by McCarthy really though as akinade was going wide, bit of inexperience maybe. Just one of those nights, had plenty of opportunities to equalize but just weren't clinical enough.

Of course, any penalty against Cork is obviously a dive as they haven't committed a foul since around 2013, and even that was an accident.

The Bohemians/Shamrock half and half scarves must be doing a roaring trade up in dublin.

To be fair to the Cork ones, Akinade is a wile man for hurling himself to the ground on the slightest contact. It's desperate to watch.

Sshhh. The shamhenians fans won't like that.

Seems liek you can't make any observation without some tool waffling on about how ridiculous the comment is and how bitter you are.
Akinade loves to invite contact and then hit the ground, and he's good at it too. So is Ogbene for us.

Are the cork fans on here seriously suggesting that the man who pled guilty to the sexual assault and attempted defilement of a teenage girl is of questionable character?!

What I would love to know is how the Bohs sponsors are happy to have a guy with a conviction for sexual assault on a child running around with their name on his chest.

How old was Akinade when he did this? That is the key issue here and is why the incident is subject to a gagging order from the courts.

He was 16.
Does that make it ok in your opinion?
Pathetic, deflecting, hypocrites.

Also it's subject to a gagging order in the courts because briefs were hired to get it gagged.
Not because he is 16.
Deflect away. Izzy needs your help on several websites by the looks of things :good:

I've edited my post now.
I'm not deflecting or defending anything by the way. Just merely pointing out that he was a minor when he committed the offence and there is a court order surrounding the reporting of the incident.
I'll comment further on it if it's OK with the admin, but I'd rather they said so first.

You only mentioned gagging orders specifically to get posts deleted.
And you lied about why the gagging order is in place.
You are deflecting and you are a hypocrite.
It's also up on ybig, political Irish and politics.ie (I know because I frequent them I don't have a wierd fetish.)
Did you comment further at any bohs members meetings?

The identity of the victim is protected as she was 14 years old at the time of the offences, but there is no court order preventing general reporting of the case.
In fact there are Irish Times and Irish Examiner court reports published that are currently accessible on-line. It is slightly more difficult to locate them via search engines such as Google due to a "right to be forgotten" action

As I've already said to you, if the admins are cool with it I'll discuss it further with you.
If you think that's me deflecting and being a hypocrite then so be it.
I haven't been around here long enough to know what goes and I'll wait until the mods give the green light If you don't mind.
