With Newcastle West AFC A being relegated, I'd say it's a case of putting all their eggs in the one basket to get back up.

They've had two pretty easy games!!

Rathkeale led 3-0 at half time as well as having a penalty saved. Went 4-0 up before being awarded a second penalty which again was saved but they scored from the rebound. Overall a comfortable win for the defending champs

I heard granagh went up 2 nil and missed a peno to go up 3, think Dore scored 2 goals, I think granagh could do ok this year as far as ballingary with all there knew players they were just average,have rovers got a lot of there players back again?

To get a free weekend club have to give request in to the league in writing and give at least three weeks notice. If a club has A and B teams they can request a free weekend for either or both depending on circumstance.

Another lazy statement, I'm pretty sure both had games in the last few years when county finals are on. Also Rathkeale playing hurling Q final and Drom Broadford football semi on Sunday week. As far as I know Broadford and Rathkeale both down to play fai that day

I think that's exactly the point being made is that if it was a domestic fixture Sunday week they may not be playing. Only that it's FAI there's nothing the Desmond League can do to help those clubs
