I thought they could, as long as they were already free agents when the transfer window closes.

I know his form is a bit iffy, but shame, he was playing well enough off the bench. I can only assume there is some sort of important opportunity in New Zealand that meant he couldn't stay till the end of the season? Best of luck to him anyway.

Never his biggest fan plenty of ability but never worked hard enough which was a shame does well coming on but when started always disappointing he had been playing well last few weeks changed the game v harps but yet again the timing of this holy **** press the self destruct button or what right before one of our biggest games of the season I have to laugh at there statement " he leaves because of an expressed desire to go to new zealand and told them he was going probably in a few weeks and it sounds like if your going you might as well go straight away the way the statement was worded "

Did Limerick not pull him out of the Ireland World student games team just a few weeks ago (He was announced in the final Squad on July 12th) as he was such an important member of the squad? He has been playing for Ireland for quite a few years and there is no way he gets announced in the official squad and agrees to not go if he knew that 6 weeks later he was off to New Zealand.
