6 first teamers featured at some stage as far as im aware. Let's face it, any side Sevilla put out is bound to be decent. All their players were available and full mangement and coaching staff were in charge

Shels see off Swiss in Spain
Friday 25 Feb 2005 --Shelbourne 4 - 1 FC Chiasso
Shelbourne completed their week-long training camp in Marbella Spain, on a high note, running out easy four one winners over FC Chiasso from Switzerland. Earlier in the week, the Irish champions had drawn nil all with local side Marbella.
Glen Crowe and Gary O'Neill were on the mark again - both having scored two weeks ago in the first pre-season game against Kildare County. Jason Byrne, who was a later starter back training because of illness, also opened his account scoring in the second half when he came on as a substitute.
Overall, manager Pat Fenlon was very happy with the weeks work in Spain. He told Shelsweb: " It was great to have all the lads together for a full week, particulary the five new signings we've added. We got through a huge amount of work and it helps to gel the squad together." There's good news on the injury front too with all players reporting a clean bill of health apart from a couple of very minor knocks.
Team: S Williams. O Heary, K Doherty, D Rogers, D Crawley. R Baker, A Cawley, J Crawford, O Cahill, G O'Neill, G Rowe.
Subs at half-time: C Hawkins for Rogers. J Byrne for O'Neill. G Crowe for Rowe. S Byrne for Crawford. B Ryan for Baker.
Scorers: G O'Neill, J Byrne, G Crowe(2)
We're looking good pre season.

The one below the premier, that everyones favourite side, FC Vaduz, play in. They're fifth, there's a table here (http://www.rsssf.com/tablesz/zwit2-05.html). Seems odd for them to goto Spain to play us in a friendly during their season.

Currently fifth in the Swiss second flight (http://www.rsssf.com/tablesz/zwit2-05.html) with a game in hand on fourth. Ten points behind Vaduz after 17 games!

FC Midtjylland finished 6th last season but are however in 2nd place this season 10 points behind Brondby.
Seville also played in the UEFA Cup midweek so Im not too sure now regular these first team regualrs were? Has anyone got the Seville team line up.
Oh and FC Chaisso also beat FC Vaduz in their second last league game the played :D

I highly doubt that seeing as they were involved in a uefa cup match 2 days later.
Also, St. Pats beat Kildare 5-0 today in Richmond Park. Robbie Doyle, Gaey McPhee, Colm Foley and 2 from Daragh Maguire

Kildare seem to be struggling...6-1 v. Shels and 5-2 v. Pat's? I would have had them up for the First Division title race!
Pat McWalter, Adrian Murphy (on his debut) and Mick O'Donnell scored for UCD.
McDonagh scored for Shamrock Rovers.

I never said first team regulars, just meant players that have played for their first team. By all accounts it was mainly younger players and senior players returning from injury but included some Spanish U-21 internationals and such like. Either way it doesn't really matter, they were going to be fairly good. FC Midtjylland had a full strength team out as did we. From all reports the training trip was highly beneficial and it was good to play different opposition. No point making quick judgements on pre-season games really.

Harps fielded a mainly young team for there first freindly of the season. Not much to report from this one I heard the goal was a bit of a Goalkeeping blunder(keeping with the times :D ). Left at half time to watch the rugby

We drew 2-2 with Athlone
Shocking match, we made serious defending errors, 2 goals scored by two defenders too....big Delaney actually knocked one in
Smallest crowd ever at the Brandywell, official figure was 174 I hear.
Sunday at 5pm does not work especially with the Rugby and British league cup final on tv.

Our defence was terrible for the first but the second was surely offside!
We worked hard for the draw though, almost nicked a win near the end
with Alan Kellys half volley.
Danny O'Leary had a stormer for us in goal.

Not much action tbh Neish. Felix fielded a blend of the new youngsters and the experienced heads and experimented with a few different formations. The lads look really fit and also tried to play football rather than the auld route one.
Goal came courtesy of a mistake by James Gallagher.
I was impressed with Seamus Browne who played the second half, was unlucky not to score a couple of times.
Good run out and hopefully Felix will have learned a lot about the lads.
Next run out is away to Coleraine tomorrow night

Ticket prices confirmed for Drogs-Leeds clash
February 27, 2005
The ticket prices for the March 20th charity meeting of eircom League Premier Division club Drogheda United and English Championship side Leeds United have been confirmed, with half of the gate receipts to go to the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre.
Kelly will be in the Leeds side for the friendly meeting against his hometown club.
Admission to the game, which has a 12 noon kick-off on Sunday, March 20th, has been announced as €25 (stand), €20 (ground) and €10 for students and old-age pensioners.
Leeds, currently in 10th place in the Championship table, have no game in England that weekend and consequently will be expected to bring a strong squad to United Park.
The game is sure to be an emotional homecoming for Kelly, who lost his sister Mandy to cancer in 1998, a bereavement which prompted him to set up the Cancer Support Centre in Drogheda last year

Strangley enough we actually kicked it off in january with a friendly away in holland, but this is our 1st match since training has begun. Serious training sessions being done, not sure why there has'nt been more matches but think more are being arranged.
