Have to agree its crazy that we don't have an Oscar Traynor team this year. I think if it's done correctly we could have a side that would challenge any in the country. It's a shame that we are not entering especially considering there was a management team willing to do the work. Other counties definitely laughing at the Cork AUL....AGAIN!!!

When you get 16 of 76 attendance at your AGM you have 2 choices - Self Evaluate or ignore. They have chosen to ignore.
Neither league in Cork represents the clubs anymore - how could they - they don't hold elections.
You cannot make a decision like cancelling the Oscar Traynor, without consulting the clubs.

I think if there was a manager with good pedigree and respect among players then most AUL players would make themselves available if they could.

A manager of good pedigree like Micky Welch?? (ex Coachford - Premier AUL winning manager) or the fella from Park that did it recently . His name has slipped my mind , Cotter I think??? (also a Premier AUL winning manager) . Both managers had won Premier league titles yet did awful as Cork Aul Managers . Probably not their fault . Like I said . The players don't want to play!!!!!!! So what manager of "pedigree" is out there Southsider?

Big upset in silverheights today village lost 2-1. Village were probably on top but the grit and determination got greenwood over the line. Personally thought village would hit them for 4 or 5

I was at the game and greenwood were the better team went 1 down after 20mins playing up the hill and playing the better football unlucky there, put the pressure back on village and got there rewards with a great free kick on35mins. second half greenwood playing down the hill were solid at the back village had there time in the game but greenwood soaked it up and went on and scored on about 75 mins well deserved win for greenwood

Given the poor response from players the last few years to playing for the AUL team maybe it is the right decision?

Regardless of players response there should still be a team whether we get out of the group or not. Theres about 70 teams in the aul. If some fella thinks hes too good to play or whatever then someone else will be happy too.

If you could share this with the clubs and promote through your social media platforms it would be great.*

As part of the release of the New Coach Education Pathway we are introducing coaching courses based on the following three key areas:

1: Reality Based Learning – Where coaches can enter the pathway now at the age specific / level they are working.*

2: Competency Model, in which every course now has specific entry and exit competencies which will see the programs delivered in a more holistic approach and the move away for the ethos of final assessments.*

3: The alignment with the Player Development Plan

With this in mind the New Adult Intro (Coaches currently working in the adult game);*New Youth Intro (Coaches working within the Youth Game; New National D Licence (Replaced the old youth certificate) and the National Goalkeeping D Licence are being released for their first ever delivery in Cork in January as part of a Coach Education Festival of Football which will see the following courses taking place that weekend:

Is there any story behind the champions Park United not having played any league games yet this season, or is it just down to their success in other competitions?

Seems very odd that they haven't even played one, like!

How and why is it happening?

Completely bizarre!

Imagine going into the last 32 of the Munster Junior without having played one league game!

Incredible.

It's a complete joke, they end up playing games towards the latter end up the league against teams with nothing to play for and with under strength teams. I think we would all agree the mossie should be pushed back a bit to accommodate a certain amount of league games. Can't imagine that any other league would have a team with no league games played by January!
