Maybe Mike Kerley should be given a shot. He did almost as good a job with Limerick as Noel O'Connor did, and in much more difficult circumstances.

Maybe the u21 coaches should be brought up a step? Eitherway it would want to be sorted pretty quick.

I would hope a replacement has been already lined up, its not as if this is a surprise to us all.

I'd definitely like to see Mike kerley being brought in as a coach, if not as assistant. after the departure of the 2 other coaches to ramblers, we're really short on coaching staff now, we'll need an assistant and a first team coach at least IMO

Dave Hill is bound to be mentioned. Not sure if that'd be a good thing though

I couldnt see it being Hill somehow.

I really doubt Lennox would have allowed this happen if he wasnt confident of a replacement, or indeed, have one already in place.

To be fair, he hasn't let City down yet, no matter what some fans say.

there's no way it will be Hilly. He was a great player, and he might not be a bad coach, but I wouldn't like him as an assistant or a manager- he's too indisciplined himself and it sets a bad example. Lennox knows what he's doing alright

If Ashton could juggle Assistant Manager with U21 manager he'd be a good choice.

Gunther (listen before ye groan) was a very good assistant and coach, just a useless manager, a lot like Eugene McCormack.

Who ever it will be, it'll be vital they do well if we want to go for the title, that is one thing about O'Connor, he meant business and did a good job.

thak god he wont be.Gaz is probably too committed career wise in Dublin, but I think he would be a major asset to any club, especially City.

O'Connor is saying positive things about Dolan and the club on the RedFM news right now.
- Leaving was very difficult for him
- He had a great time with City, saying it "was fantastic for me"
- He paid tribute to the club and fans, saying that Cork supporters are the best in the country
He named Pat Dolan as the "Best manager in the country" who "Turned the club around."
Leaving comments like that behind is no bad thing and suggests no rancour about his departure.

I get the impression that O'Connor was really head coach. After the previous defection to Ramblers city must be real thin on the coaching front now.

Club would surely have the budget for a fulltime coach if could a f=good candidate?
