Is there not an APP you can download that tricks your laptop etc to thinking you are abroad

For the love of God, don't use Hola or any other free proxy service. They are at best insecure and at worst, plain malicious (Hola).

The non Irish based lads are just going to have to give us all their credit card details. Or set up an account and give us their passwords at least.

So where are we meant to watch these streams tomorrow night? Is it on the individual betting site (like bwin etc.) once a bet has been placed, or is there some other site streaming it?

I just signed up there and was able to watch highlights not available in Uk or Ireland using vpn, can't see there being an issue with LOI matches.

It helps a lot if you are using a paid version, I have Private Internet Access.

If anyone is using a free vpn / proxy service, I suggest stopping immediately. Many of them operate similar to Hola. (http://adios-hola.org/)

I dunno when I'll be at home during a match, but I'm interested to know if it's an option.

Did you try different locations? Did you visit the site then switch it to an IP in another country?

I am on openelec, using Chromium browser with PIA addon, no way of making live stream full screen though.

Full Screen Flash add-on for Chrome should sort that.

Do you have to use a non Irish card? Can you use an Irish card through PayPal?

Longfordian

Did anyone get this going last night? I signed up with an English address using a VPN and used a PayPal account but there was no sign of any LOI streams. I don't think the VPN was doing much as when signing up I was getting Irish settings as the default.

Yeah, I got it working. Decent quality most of the time but the camera often fails to follow the ball into the corners, especially on side nearest camera. It'll be interesting to see if this affects away crowds as more people get it up and running.

I'm sure if there's any effect, it will be negligible.

Apart from Charlie and a couple of occasionals there's very few of them here.

Yesterday all the streams were up and running except Sligo-Galway (it was announced but not working) and Harps-Shamrock.

Just a pitty the video windows are so small...

So I seen on twitter the other day something to to the effect that Trackchamp are making some sort of video analysis platform available to clubs. I assume they record the games as well as stream them.

From what I saw of the streams, they look close to useless for analysis purposes. The camera often doesn't follow the ball properly or doesn't predict the direction in which play is heading.

Mind you, the camera position is better in some places than others. Might be middling in Terryland, but not ok in Wexford, as I saw for myself.

They're really going for the authentic League of Ireland experience; since Maguire's goal their scoreboard has variously shown Dun 1-0 Cor, Dun 0-1 Cor, gone back to 1-0 to Dundalk, then 2-0 to Dundalk, back to 0-0 for a while, back to the old favourite of 1-0 to Dundalk, and now disappeared completely.

Anyone who doesn't fancy signing up to BWIN, there's another way to watch the games live. It's all explained in this Reddit thread.

Absolutely excellent work and you can full screen games too.

That match was available some of the time. I have 360mb/s down.

When I said they came and went, I meant the streams themselves weren't available most of the time.

The quality was pretty terrible when it did work. I didn't miss the handball in the run up to Miele's goal though.

There was no sound on that stream either. Added to that, when I watched a few mins of a stream from Wexford the last time, the camera didn't follow the ball properly a fair chunk of the time.

Stream quality right across the board is pretty crap though. It's essentially ball tracking webcams that don't always track the ball. It's not Sky Sports we're watching, but it's live streams of League of Ireland games.

Few refreshes of the page before you can get the streams too, but it beats VPN and paying for BWIN and confirming addresses and this sort of craic.
