If they're fit, even thou Prince especially is a good player, it'd be harsh to drop any of the other lads the way things are going. Big match up in Bray next. Been starved of live football now, this is no craic.
More than welcome to bus it to Bray with us :P

Looking down the line our biggest issue could become teams actually trying to shut us out and take a draw. They may be dropping points but it also means we are dropping points and running out of games.
Need to go for the juggler against Pats. Second loss in a row for them and they have lost Forrester too which is a big blow.
You're going to go for the Juggler? No wonder Pats' form has dipped if they're playing with a Juggler in the Team.... :p

But seriously, I think a lot of people are rooting for Limerick to escape relegation considering the blistering form in the last few months... it'd be real tough on ye to go down after that turnaround...
Basically I think everyone is just trying to dodge finishing bottom and I reckon over 2 legs anyone from Bray down would fancy their chances against a Div. 1 team in a play off...

Shaun Kelly and Paul O'Conor suspended Robbie Williams and Paudie O'Connor returning from suspension.
One big player doubtful but I shouldn't say who.

So 2 points dropped or 1 gained? Still repeating Rainsfords header in my mind was convinced it was in.

Don't think we deserved to win it really.
We didn't have that spark tonight, and were really slow at times. A few players off the pace a bit. When we didn't get the third during a good spell early in the 2nd half, I knew it would come back to haunt us.
Very good penalty shout too.

It's hard to tell, think the assessment of this game will depend rather heavily on how Sligo do against the same opposition, and with that game in hand (against Galway though, so someone we want to lose points is losing points).
All eyes turn to United Park next Friday I guess.

2 points lost methinks.

I think the fact that 2 or 3 of the lads have been carrying knocks showed lastnight we just didn't play with the same pace as we have previously. No matter how we played and if we did or didn't deserve to win the game the ref not giving one of the most blatant pens I have seen that would have given us a chance to make it 3-1 is a disgrace. Now refs get a hard time for not much sometimes but how in the name of god did that fella ever manage to get as high as the top league in the country he was as spineless as I have ever seen Bray player on the floor full stretch grabs the ball with both hands inches in front of him and the lino has to give the decision.
That save from Cherrie from Rainsfords header at the end was heartbreaking too.

21/09/2015, 8:22 AM
I'm convinced if Rainsfords header went in we'd stay up...think he should have scored it as well.
Next 3 Dundalk, Galway and Derry...what's realistic 4/5 points??
Lim till i die
21/09/2015, 9:36 AM
Need to win three or our last five. Drogheda have a pig of a run in, forget about Sligo they will be fine.
I don't really look at it as two points lost, like the Longford game when people were cribbing, we've now taken 17 of our last 21 points, you can't win them all!
Referee Saturday was the worst in the league and that's saying something. Spineless ditherer, his humming and hawing over a free when a bray player who wasn't their goalkeeper caught the ball with both hands and clutched it to his chest was an amazing sight.

Jesus, just saw Soccer Republic and whatever about the penalty appeal last wkend, the penalty shout against Dundalk was a terrible decision. Absolute stonewaller.
Jofspring
28/09/2015, 10:48 PM
On soccer republic it looked stone wall. But on the night from the stand I'd have said never a peno. The angle doesn't show it but Clarke slowed down to take the hit and nearly nudged backwards to make sure it came. It probably wasn't a penalty. The ref was standing right in line with the view I had and I reckon he thought the same. No one around me thought it was a peno either. If it was against us we would have said the player played for it. In saying that I've seen a few given against us for a lot less.

Didn't think it was a peno either on the night. Clarkie went out of his way to make contact with his defender from the view I had.

Moving on from Dundalk I think our faith will be decided in Eamon Deasy Park over the course of the next two Friday nights. If Sligo can go and beat Galway This Friday night then we have the massive incentive that a win in Galway will bring us level on points. First things first though it'll be massive for us if Sligo can beat Galway and in turn There's a good chance Sligo will be safe and have nothing to play for by the time we head to the Showgrounds. We will surely see the biggest Limerick travelling support in years in Galway on Friday week.
Jofspring

I reckon the team will be trying to blank out any other results as much as possible and just target Galway next week. It's the biggest game of the season for us and i think if we lose we can take it as we are relegated.

Drogs may be our best bet if Galway beat Sligo.
Their run in is Cork at home, Pats away, Longford at home, Rovers away.

I think galway beating sligo sealed or faith unfortunately fantastic run but to little to late we left ourselves to much to do when you think of it not winning a single game in about 22 league games two wins there we'd be safe unbelievable to think about how bad we messed things up in for over half the league.

If we beat Galway we could go into next weeks game against Derry a point behind 2 teams so I hardly think Galway beating Sligo sealed our faith tbf

Yeah, no way is it over just yet. All Limerick can do is play the games in front of them, but three points in Terryland and things would look much more achievable I'm sure.

With the buses and cars going up on Friday a safe estimate would be about 250/300?. My first away match this season and so pumped!

Well on buses alone I know there is near 120 so id be shocked if it wasn't 200+ there on the night. My worry is when things like this have happened before we seems to always disappoint.

I went through the last few games and made some predictions.
Longford draw with Sligo
Pats over Drogs
Dundalk draw with Galway
Cork over Longford
Limerick over Derry
Sligo draw with Bohs
Pats over Sligo
Drogs draw with Longford
Derry draw with Bohs
Bray draw with Galway
Limerick draw with Shams
Shams over Drogs
Longford draw with Derry
Pats over Galway
Sligo draw with Limerick
Came out as:
Longford: 32
Galway: 31
Limerick: 31
Sligo: 30
Drogheda: 29
Maybe thinking too much of Pats there.

It is, but the scope of the project is for the entire region (or Limerick at least). A local grant would be for, say, a junior club or a GAA club that just represents its immediate area, whereas Limerick FC have a wider focus.

Limerick, right now, are well capable of getting at least 5, and maybe 7, points out of their last three games. By end of tomorrow, they might even be above the play-off place. So wish I could make it down for it, I'm sure MF will be hopping.

Galway are more or less safe now that Pats team won't be turning up to play on the last day.
Best case scenario we win our next two and we could be safe before the Sligo game if drogs lose to longford, which they are more than capable of doing.
2500 in to watch us play Derry city in a must win?! We're all as nervous as me right??

I do have faith in this team but huge crowd, good vibes and positivity heading into such a big game as a Limerick fan make me sick to my stomach. We have been here so many times before. Eventually one of em won't let us down surely and if anyone I think it will be these boys.

In fairness they've preformed countless times in front of a big crowd all ready, have to back the lads to come through now.

I'd say they are, they've done the last few games.
Friend of mine was just in Gleeson sports and they are completely sold out of adult stand tickets. If ye haven't got them yet I'd advise getting in to Paddy McMahons butchers Athlunkard street or up to the Markets Field early.

Just listening to that was painful. What is with this team and the big games in front of a big crowd? Sligo one down to Bohs, that would put them two ahead, Drogs two ahead also with one goal better GD. Drogs play Longford next week, Sligo play Pats.

Now might be a good time to discuss it actually: if Limerick do manage to stay up, should Russell be kept on? Seems like another poorly motivated mis-selected team tonight.
