Said on the radio this morning that Prince and Ali to arrive in the next day or two and could even be available for Pats game.

The purse strings are set to be loosened in July which should help bolster the squad.

I have heard Shaun Kelly rumoured to be returning also.

They also mentioned that the club have an investor that has come forward and is interested. The return to the Markets Field a big reason for this.

Is Mark Quigley still available? He would be a bit of a coup and show could get us the goals to keep us up. Anyone hear his name been mentioned?

Yes I heard that this morning that an investor has come forward and that POS will invest heavily in july to try save us.

Fantastic about the investor coming forward first game back and somebody has come forward already apparently they were blown away with the place and seen there was huge potential with a winning Limerick fc team.

That would obviously be fantastic news. Lets hope so, and lets hope they get their money in before we go up against Bray after trips to Pats and Dundalk!

Dear Board

Unlike the English Premiership the League Of Ireland has been running on a summer schedule for some years now.

As such it would be useful going forward to attempt to improve the squad in January not July!!!!

Thank you in advance

A concerned fan.

Out of interest, what sort of money would the investor be asked if they wanted to purchase the club outright?

Any word on Prince and Ali. We could do with them in Richmond Park.

Not really transfer news but Willie Boland has joined the management team on a short term basis.

@LoiTransfers (https://twitter.com/LoiTransfers) daryl kavanagh has left drogheda contract cancelled, whilst eric foley and mark quigley have been training with the drogs

Daryl Kavanagh might be a possibility. Handy player when his head is right!

Would love to know why he ha left there.

I agree though I'd take him if his head was anyway right at the moment.

Need more than ali and prince to save them from relegation.would be a start though.bray and galway at home now are must win games.

Would be great to get Lee Jay back in for the remainder of the season. I think he could really help out Duggy being the extra player to take the ball off the back 4 and he would add a little creativity. I know we have a lot of midfielders at the moment with prince coming in but I still reckon he would be a massive addition.

What's his story? Is he out of contract?

He was released by mutual consent by Hamilton back in Feb. Was injured since he got there. I think he is trying to keep fit at the moment and has a few offers.

Arrivals imminent according to Mike Ahern on Twitter. Hinting at three significant signings. Together with Prince and Ali assuming things go through quickly we could see a revamped team Saturday night.

From what I've heard it's Lee J, Shaun Kelly and as per usual the Kilduff rumour. Personally I think we need a centre half more than a full back, but I'd bite your hand off to get Lee and Kilduff!

Jofspring
29/06/2015, 3:26 PM
Ya have heard Lee and Kelly. Kilduff would great as a target man for us. In saying that we have been linked with him every transfer window since we came up. I'd imagine we will be looking for a centre half as well. Lee in the middle should take the pressure off the back 4 a bit, especially if you get Jason in there working his socks off.

I've heard one of em is a centre back anyway.

About time they revamped the squad.it was obvious from the start of the season that the team wasnt good enough and the results/table dont lie.hopefully the guys that they sign will push us up the table to safety.

All I have seen is people slagging him and the club off after it tbh. I hope it doesn't actually happen we are down now just play the young lads like you were saying the other day there isn't anyone coming in and keeping us up now.

O'Donnell has left the club "by mutual consent". I imagine Holland is #1 now, though this trialist goalie might also figure.

I reckon the Bermuda Lad will be starter. He supposedly looked decent Tuesday.

I think the centre half is signing also.

Of course, all signing speculation and positional debate should come with the automatic caveat of "before they are inevitably replaced by the newly arriving Greek supermen."

I meant it in the way any publicity is good publicity. The club were in every Facebook feed, Twitter feed, national radio stations etc...

The actual idea was ridiculous and Pat got caught out on 95fm yesterday morning. Hopefully the interview knocks it on the head and showed Pat it was a silly idea.

What was said on 95fm?

Jofspring

What was said on 95fm?

Pat said quality LOI players are hard to find and the better ones go to the highest bidder. Then he said we find it hard to sign from the UK because their season is different to ours and the transfer windows. He then said that's why he looked at Greece. Mike Ahern pointed out that Greece doesn't run at the same time as the LOI either, that it's runs the same as the UK and Pat said it does. Mike said no it doesn't unless it's some kind of low Greek league or something. Pat said he was informed their season is the same as league of Ireland and Mike said well it's not.

He then said to Pat it was throwing good money after bad. Pat then agreed our season could be over tonight so Mike said are they not better off holding off till next season rather than waste more money.

Someone should have just sat Pat down, tell him the situation and why it's a bad idea.

He also filled us in on why the Bermuda lad wasn't available last week and that we were in the process of signing the centre half.

Yeah, any players being brought in now need to be the kind we have in mind for a First Division fight.

Jofspring

I'd be very surprised if any player we bring in now is even around for next season.

I reckon we could be looking at a lot of young lads playing in the first division next season. We simply don't have the money to compete at the moment.

Shaun Kelly and another goalkeeper were training with the club recently. Kelly would be a good signing and would more than likely stay around in the first division.

What's the point leaving it till last minute (again) just so we can get the players nobody else wanted, pointless if they're not long term signings for First Division!
