Anyone see the goal he just scored for Stoke?
Unbelievable, 10 yards inside his own half
(you can delete thread if you think it is out of order!)

Funny on the radio the guy was saying someone's goal was going to be goal of the or something, and
then he said but there ie one match to go.

I though it was Whelan when I first saw it :D
Maybe stick it in the Stoke Irish thread!

I don't know why you'd stick it any Irish thread considering he's Scottish.

Because he wanted to draw attention to it and this is the main forum that most people read and he couldn't be bothered looking for epl!

Well a good few Irish were playing, it would be natural to mention such a cracking goal I think.
You can put an Irish spin on it too, what is the furthest out an Irish player has scored from, either international
or club level?
I have one in mind, or rather his name slips my mind, he went back to play in Ireland IIRC.
I can't recall any from that kind of distance though, apart from one I score in school ;) :D (not quite that far though lol)

Exactly if I put it there few would have seen it.
It was a great strike, ie a proper shot on goal, not a high lob.
The keeper was way off his line though, bad play on his part.

Of further Irish relevance is that we will face Adams when we play Scotland again, so perhaps something for the keeper to bear in mind!

This goal was scored by Brian Nolan for Waterford against Shels on the same weekend:
