Tickets from SFA arrived today in the post.....just for information, for those who are fretting about them being cancelled etc...

So does anyone want any of these tickets then?
Please indicate ASAP or will offload elsewhere...

Try sending some of those on the list PMs.

I'm still waiting to hear from the FAI. If I'm unsuccessful, I'll only need the one now.

I would Danny, but in the light of regulars elsewhere getting knockbacks and no-one wanting mine on here, plus the PM system usually inducing no response, am going to withdraw mine for the time being as know (probably) more deserving cases. If they all get sorted, will stick back on offer.

Adding myself to this list. Shocked that I haven't a ticket, tbh. Attending the likes of Kazakhstan, Georgia and Faroes, buying a season ticket, you'd have thought one of 3.5k tickets wouldn't be too much of an ask.

That's shocking alright. A lot of unhappy campers on YBIG too, and rightly so. Did anyone on there get sorted? Would most regulars be in the same boat as yourself or have most bought insurance tickets in the home section? Was it 600 were reserved for Abbey Travel? So who got the remainder then?...
I'll remove you from the 'available' list, AB:

I know of one person who got a ticket. Another on there claimed he got one, so that's two.
I know one person with a home end ticket.
Abbey, sponsors and SCs seem to have got the tickets. The SC prioritisation is a joke. People who haven't been to an away match in years (or ever). Would they be making the trip if it was to Liechtenstein?
TBH, most regulars didn't considering buying a home end ticket. With 3.5k away tickets going, the assumption was there would be no issues. How wrong we were.
ArdeeBhoy
25/10/2014, 2:17 AM
Tbf, my SC's tickets were allocated based on the no.of season tickets they have and the length of people have been members and applying for tickets.
Not the fairest scheme but 100x better than the 'highest bidder' mentality to the likes of Abbey et al. But anyone who was allocated a ticket and hadn't made any accomodation (& travel in some cases) arrangements are unlikely to go, as the costs are now prohibitive...

TA MB claimed they still had odd tickets/returns.
Scottish contacts would probably help more?

Folks,
We are trying to track just who missed out and to show that the current FAI systems are not fit for purpose

I understand Ger Keville is going to cover it in the Independent this week. He's going to conduct some interviews with affected fans tomorrow afternoon: http://www.ybig.ie/forum/interviews-with-fans-on-monday_topic50220.html

The Independent (http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/european-championships/fury-over-tiny-ticket-allocation-for-scotland-showdown-30695036.html) have something on it today.
Although I hope they do a better follow-up - their top line is anger over the ticket allocation. But obviously the anger isn't over the allocation (always going to be small) or the demand (always going to be large). It's about the FAI shafting diehard travellers.

i also didn't get tickets - which in a way i'm glad about as a) i have sorted out home tickets and b) there are many other more deserving cases.
to other unsuccessful applicants: did you get the deposits you paid back? i've not, yet at least.

That completely misses the issue and shifts the blame away from the FAI and on to the SFA. Nice work, Brian Byrne...
I'd imagine Ger Keville's piece will deal with the matter a bit more thoroughly when it's published.

Are they in the Jock Stein Upper? Still a few left scattered around the blocks, but they went pretty quickly, so hopefully they've been bought up by Irish supporters rather than touts.

It looks like the SFA are doing a block-to-block run-through around the stadium now and selling leftover tickets in each block in the upper tier.

Exactly Stutts.
Not a chance should there be of clashing the two. Which is more important? I think we all know the answer to that.

Neither. They're both ultimately futile!
Though is Bonnie in Canada or Dublin these days?

I know, I'm the worst. I actually didn't think I'd get tickets if I'm honest. I'll just have to make do with Paul's disdain.
Exactly Stutts.

Imagine if I'd gotten tickets for the Canada game as well... I'd've missed the All-Ireland Final as well. Doesn't bear thinking about.
I think I'll shutter my account here. I'm clearly not worthy.

Huh?.
Even the real AB couldn't be that pessimistic, hence I thought you were parodying yourself.
Parody was the word I was looking for originally, not pastiche.
What isn't futile anyway? Winning the whole tournament? Gallant losing quarter finalist? What constitutes whatever the opposite of futile is?

A parody of a pastiche? Or something.
We're not going to win either competition as ever, but quite relaxed about that.

If you took note of his posts you could identify his location pretty easily.
The dream of emigration can turn fairly quickly, especially when a homeboy like BS.
Granted there will always be a better offer from home, especially when it doesn't work out ; )

Does anybody know about these restricted view tickets that are now onsale (SFA) for the Lisbon Lions Upper Tier? I remember buying similar for Lansdowne at some stage and I couldn't figure out the restriction they were referring to. Is it just like that or is there a proper obstruction? Thanks.

If its anything like white hart lane restriction, its a serious restriction. Especially given the price I've paid for white hart lane tickets in the past!
