Greg O'Halloran has now been fully signed as a Longford Town Player following his 3 month loan from CCFC. New Longford boss, Martin Lawlor moved to sign him on a permanent basis following his appointment as new Longford boss.

There is no indication whether or not a transfer fee has been paid. There will probably be no fee involved as O'Halloran was a free agent at the start of the season before rejoining CCFC.

No money yet again!!! Who said the board knew about good business???!!!
:D

Well if good business is having a team of part-timers who get 50 quid a week and get you into Europe for a free holiday in June then our Board are the BEST business men in the world!

BTW Wonder will Greg be allowed play against us on Saturday night!

I heard that it was just extrending the loan contract that he has at Longford. I dont think there is anyplace in our squad for Greg anyway.

According to yesterdays Sun Newspaper, Greg has signed until the end of the season, not an extension of the loan deal.

Possible Greg V Ollie on Sat. night.

Very interesting.

Not a chance...............City have made sure that as part of the deal Greg will NOT be playing for Longford tomorrow night....

another fantastic bit of small print by the board! how come they can manage to sneak things into deals that most sane clubs wouldn't agree to, and yet they couldn't get colin murphy to mark an 'X'. makes ya wonder......................

If it is still only a loan deal then the board are perfectly within their rights to have that clause.

I LOVE THE BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is everybody complaining that ex-city players have clauses in their new contracts baning them from playing againsy City? If they did play, and played well against City, then ye would be up in arms against the board saying that they should have had the foresite to stop them playing us!

fair enough on loan deals, but the herrick thing was pushing it.

That was more Galways fault than City's ... iff they are dumb enough to sign the dotted line with that in the deal then that is their fault, you cant rant about City trying for as much as they can get, apparantly Mark had a great game against Shels the other night.

i know it was galways fault for not objecting to it, but in fairness, this kind of clause is normally only in loan deals, and i thought what city did (i.e. asking for the clause) was unfair.

Who, Herrick or Greg???? :D

As far as I'm concerned the City board were 'chancing their arms', and they got away with it. Thats not a bad thing. If the Galway people are stupid enough to sign it then thats their problem ,not ours. I know our lot aren't exactly the best, but why bite their heads off for everything they ever do?

Greg O'Halloran is in the Cork City squad fr tonight's game with Longford.

So much for the 'O'Halloran move permanent' headline which started this thread!

Well after his behaviour last saturday night, I'd imagine he isn't to welcome in Longford anymore.
